Things were… Chaos. Nothing was making any sense and this strange place wasn’t helping any of it. Willow was here and that was a relief, but at the same time, Willow was… here. Of all places. Even though Willow was the person she had wanted to see the most, Tara was panicked at seeing her former lover here as well. If Willow had been brought here, things must really be problematic. What would Buffy do? Willow was vital to the scoobies. Not to mention Buffy and Dawn were all going through such a hard time, how could they function without her?

However none of that really mattered right now. They both were here and things were happening with amazing speed. That was the way life went however, everything always hit with amazing speed when something did happen.

Finding her self falling through the wall Tara shrieked with surprise and fear as her heart leapt into her throat. Hitting the ground with a thunk Tara exhaled sharply with some of the wind being knocked from her. Feeling Willow’s weight land on top of her Tara’s eyes went wide and hands flew up trying to make sure the other woman didn’t get hurt. Luckily from the little chuckle received and the off comment, Willow seemed fine. At least that was one thing that was going ok tonight.

Blue eyes stared up at the other woman as their eyes met. “Y-yes?” Tara wasn’t exactly sure what was going to happen, or exactly how she was going to take care of things when they did start moving again. For now time seemed frozen as their eyes remained locked on each other. What was going to happen? What was going on? How should she react to all this? All of the mixed emotions she’d been fighting with over the past weeks were being stirred and pulled and complicated with everything she’d felt in the past couple of days.

Tara studied Willow as the other woman spoke. Everything about the red head seemed different in some ways, but at the same time, it was still Willow. Her Willow. Her lover, her everything. But how could they be sure everything would still work between them? Swallowing the blond witch nodded in response to the other woman’s words, unsure what to say or do at this point.

The touch from Willow was both welcomed and not, yet in the shock of the situation Tara had no idea what to make of it. They had touched, had been so close on so many different occasions recently, but nothing had come of it, Tara had made sure. Biting her lower lip from the inside she remained still underneath the weight and touch of the other woman. What was she to do? Before her mind could even be made up a passionate kiss was placed against her lips and Tara tried to restrain her self from Willow, from her own feelings. Pulling away from the kiss Tara turned her eyes off to the side, away from Willow. “Will… I…” She shook her head. “We,… you…. Need to get up.” Everything was so confusing, what could she do? What should she do? Love was still there, it was obvious that even though scared, Willow was better. But, how could the red head magically be fixed? What was going on here?

Tara’s mind scrambled about, searching desperately for answers as she waited for Willow to remove her self from atop the blonde’s own body.

Willow was confused and relived at the same time, the kiss had been just as she remembered, every bit of time came to a halt right there on the floor of the strange room, she felt like her hands belonged touching the other gently. The words Tara had uttered was what brought the red-headed witch out of her drugged like state. She paused just looking for a moment into blue eyes before compiling herself and raising off the woman she loved, doing as was asked of her. Still she stood over her lover and reached out a hand to her so she could help Tara up as well, she was far from rude even if the other wicca had asked for a little space between their bodies.

Taking a deep breath and exhaling she fixed her dress and then made sure her hair was in a decent place, if her insides felt like a mess there was no reason her outsides had to match. She wandered around the room a bit looking at the strange art laced on the walls. “This is all his doing you know.” She pointed a threating finger at a painting of their captor which she felt like she was being violated by his eyes. She shuddered and closed her eyes trying to think of some reasoning for all of this and suddenly it dawned on her. “We've been taken from different times Tara.” Her arms were folded over herself now it was the only bit of comfort she had. “I remember some of the other's talking about it, and it explains why you think we were still fighting before you were taken.”

She let out a sigh and couldn't help but walk towards Tara once again pushing a bit of the woman's hair behind her ear, Willow always liked it better when Tara never hid her beautiful face, especially not from her. Willow paused and took her hand back holding onto herself again. “It..also explains why we look different...it also explains why you are, alive.” Willow sighed but was starting to think rationally for the first time in a whole day. “Did, did believe you had a dream with us in the field?” She questioned. “I'm starting to think that was real too, and for whatever reason I ended up back in my room feeling like I had the super headache from heck. The things I said were all true, do you remember?” She paused thinking it over.

“In my reality we made up and spent a night together back home, in, in the morning Warren came looking for Buffy, he shot at her twice and his stray bullet hit you.” There was nothing in her eyes to show that she was lying, there was only the pain of her truth shadowing her features. Willow reached out and put a few fingers gently on Tara's chest where the bullet had hit her. “I promised to never lie to you again, and I'm keeping it, you just have to find some way to trust me. I did really bad things lover, I can't justify my addition, it's a sickness and nothing to scoff over, but I do take responsibility for it all.”

Willow turned and stepped away from Tara she wasn't sure that her lover believed her words, she also wasn't sure if she was worthy of being forgiven after the horrible things she had done while consumed by dark magicks. "Love of you is all I have, you've been with me on the inside, making me strong again, amazon strong."

Sadness was deep inside the witch as much as she was happy that Tara was alive there were new worries filling her head at rapid speeds. For the first time in a long time she was lacking words, everything was in Tara's hands right now and whatever Tara would decide would stand true.

She couldn’t help but pause a moment before taking a hold of the other’s hand to help raise her self up off of the floor. Once standing her eyes searched over the room as hands quickly straightened and dusted off the elegant dress that had moments ago just been on the floor. Letting her eyes drop for a moment her brain went into over drive trying to figure out what was going on. Could it be a memory spell again? Maybe it was something else? Magic could do amazing and strange things to anyone.

Willow’s words pulled Tara out of her thoughts again and eyes slipped over to where Willow was glaring. Getting a shiver from the creep-factor from the painting she nodded and looked away from the item. However, the theory on what was going on drew her eyes back to the redhead. “Different… times…” The words were low and her brows furrowed in thought. That could…. Well, would, make sense. If others were having issues with the same thing it would prove this theory easily. However, the blond witch her self hadn’t heard anything of these issues. Further research would be needed before a final conclusion was reached, but that did make a great deal of sense at this point. More so then anything Tara her self had been able to come up with as of yet.

Blue eyes raised to meet green as Willow questioned her. “I, um… yes. I remember.” Suddenly Tara felt her self go cold. Willow had witnessed her death. Tara had died in the same room as Willow if all of this was true. How horrible was that? How would she have felt if Willow had died in front of her? The blond witch visibly shook at the internalized notion with arms crossing over her own abdomen. It explained a great deal on why Willow looked different and why the other woman was in such shambles at seeing her. Just the other day her biggest concern was trying to figure out how and if she could get back together with Willow. If they would fit in each other’s lives and now… Now she had found out the results of her decision. Her wants and desires had over come her, Willow had proven her ability to keep things under control and another shot had been given to their relationship in Willow’s time. No wonder why they were reacting so differently to each other. It was all… so…. So confusing.

Shifting the blond witch continued to listen to Tara’s story giving a nod to show she was listening. This was all unbelievable, but it seemed like it was really happening, really real. It was all just so mind boggling. Swallowing in attempts to calm her emotions Tara lifted her gaze to meet Willow’s again, everything seemed so different but at the same time it was all so similar. This was Willow, her Willow. Even with all the problems, they had still longed for each other, it was obvious.

The feelings of fingers lightly pressing over her chest brought the blond back to the situation at hand. The words were telling, harsh and painfully true. It caused a deep aching in Tara’s heart as each one was presented with heart wrenching honesty. With the removal of Willow eyes and fingers her heart dropped some in her chest. “W-Will.” Unsure what to say a pause consumed the air between them for a moment. “You… you’ve changed since I last knew you and…I, I do believe what you’re saying. But this is just…” Swallowing she shook her head slightly with eyes falling to the floor. “All of this is just so different, so challenging.” Hesitating for a moment Tara then stepped forward, reaching out and touching Willow’s shoulder softly. “I love you and I always will, but right now. I need time. There’s so much going on here. Right now. With us and with everything that’s going on around us.” Fingers continued to rest on the redhead’s shoulder. “I think… I believe, if we try… if we both really want this. We could… we can work this out.”

This was so hard for her because the only thing she wanted right now was to put her arms around Tara and make her see that everything would be ok, but the words on her lovers lips talked of space and letting Tara absorbed the things that had gone on, and truthfully it was only fair that she gave her what she requested.

She wished she could go back in time, back to when they had made up and stop her lover from being murdered, stop the events that came afterwards. Willow would never dare use such magics as that anymore, no more manipulation, she would never use magic in such dark ways anymore, she swore it. What had happened was etched in stone in the sands of time, she would have to deal with what was going on and face the music, face Tara.

Feeling the hand on her shoulder Willow brought her hand to squeeze it gently. "I only turned away because I feel so ashamed." She kissed Tara's hand then turned around to face her, keeping a gentle hold on the other wicca's hand. "Take whatever time you need to find your answers, this is much to process, scariness and all, more then we've faced before."

She was quiet letting Tara have her turn with words, she still admired the strength there, Tara hand come along way from the extremely shy girl she had meet in what seemed like a life time before now. Her heart sank a little not believing the words that came out of Tara's mouth.

"If we want this? Oh Tara, I have never wanted anything more in my life than you, it's always been about you since we meet. I've made bad mistakes, watched...felt you die in my arms, and made even worse mistakes afterwards." Willow stepped forward closing the space between them, she put an arm around Tara's waist, the other tilted her chin upwards to meet her gaze.

"I'm still Willow, your Willow Tree." Her voice was low and calm. "I know how hard this is, I feel it too, but I know we are so very strong." Her hand brushed Tara's cheek gently. "Listen, I've waited this long to be together with you again, I think I can wait a little while longer." She smiled warmly, even laughed a little. She showed Tara that there was a flair of her old self there and not all had changed. Willow kissed Tara's cheek. "It will be ok, we will be, trust me?" She searched for the answer on the other's face.

Brows knit at Willow’s comment on feeling so much shame. Tara didn’t know all of the details but she was sure there were pieces she was missing at this point. Though carefully thinking back over their, apparent interactions a memory did surface. Sighing heavily the blond witch nodded. “I-it’s a lot.” Offering the other woman a weak smile it was an attempt to assure not only Willow but her self as well. “I’m sure I can, um, manage though.” Blue eyes danced as they looked deeply into green, unsure of what may be different in Willow now, even though it was obvious that it was still her redheaded lover.

Slowly Tara bit her lower lip as Willow spoke again. The words which she spoke were carefully examined and turned over in Tara’s mind. At one point the near past blond witch would have thought that as much as Willow wanted to mean them, those words would have been lies, because Willow was out of her mind with magic addiction. Unable to control the sickness inside of her, but now… Willow looked so calm, in control and, so much more stable. More stable, then Tara had seen her in… a very long time. They had cut a deal once before when Willow thought she could control her self, back then her energy had been chaotic and unstable, now… Now Willow’s personal aura though still awkward and nervous was, stronger, more assured. If only the red head before her could steady her own abilities, then… Then Willow really would be one of the strongest witches in the world. How could Tara not want to be part of Willow’s growth into this new power?

Feeling an arm warp around her waist Tara looked up into the bright green eyes looking back at her and felt her breath catch in her throat for a moment. Those eyes. Not only had Willow’s energy changed, but something behind those green orbs were obviously different as well. There was pain there, fear but also… an amazingly deep longing, a desire to get well and change that the blond witch had never seen before.

“No. It hasn’t been about me Will, it’s been about us. As a team. We broke up because we stopped being a team.” The words were hard from harsh, in fact they held a certain remorse to them. A slight tremble went through the witch as the redhead went on again and she swallowed. “I know baby.” The words slipped out in a hushed tone without her full realization before Tara could stop her self. Swallowing Tara slipped a hand up over Willow’s on her face, giving it a gentle squeeze. “Thank you Willow.” Pausing again for a moment she listened once more, feeling her heart leap in her chest when Willow asked for an agreement of trust and somehow… Tara felt she could. Staring boldly into those never ending green forests the blond witch silently and slowly nodded her agreement to Willow’s plea for trust as a single word silently formed on her lips. “Yes.”

Willow felt sadness again but more so guilty she knew the other's words rang true, they stopped being a team and starting to be separate people who had nothing to do with each other. She'd been so wrapped up in magic she didn't see how badly she had hurt her lover, being consumed by dark magic had caused a lot of things to happen which just shouldn't have but she had delt with her choices on her own, with the help of Giles and by writing to her friends. However Tara was someone she couldn't make up with but that was in the past now.

Willow nodded. “Much with the badness, we really do work better as a team Tara, we always did. We would have been dust back at the university if we hadn't saved each other. You've always been the real source of my power.” The red-head smiled and put her hand up so Tara could push hers against it and then the other. “Feel this..” She closed her eyes waiting for Tara to do the same as she was doing. “Just the little touch of your finger tips with mine, I know there is balance, even in the icky most situations.”

Feeling the surging energy pass through the other, this sent a tingling sensation throughout her body, this was what Willow had loved about Tara so much, the positive electricity that passed through their bodies while they were near, she wanted to be consumed by it and her lover but all in good time. Willow simply leaned forward and placed a gentle brushing kiss against Tara's supple lips. “And thank you for believing in me, never giving up on me.”

“We need to find a way out of this room, deal with things as they come from then on.” She nodded. “There should be another door in here somewhere, we just need to stop using human eyeballs and use our wicca senses.” Willow laughed. “I think Jareth needs to think over his secret chambers a little more, this one is so last century!” She giggled some more. Suddenly an idea popped into her head.“You know what just mind work?” Willow walked over to the wall looking over an empty space. “I've never done it, just seen it in movies, which isn't really that far off at all, but if we get something to draw a door on the wall I think we can made our own way out, but I need your help of course.”

A smile lingered on her lips in response to Willow’s agreement of their teamyness a light nod being given in response to how much life they would have had to live back in the uni if they hadn’t stuck together at many different times. The redhead before her had always thought Tara to be her source of power, but that had never been true. Willow had all the power she could ever want, however, Tara was the one who helped to anchor her to reality and how things should be. The blond witch had seen the horrors and atrocities of what could happen with the magics and made sure she had stood as a pillar against the darker side. There was enough in the world, Tara refused to let it come into her own home as well.

Pausing for a moment the blond witch the stepped up, slowly raising her hand to gently rest her fingers against Willow’s. Feeling the energies they both shared caused her eyes to fall closed and muscles to relax, a deep relived sigh slipped from her lips as something so familiar, so wonderful, calmed her nerves as nothing else had in the past few days. Nothing really could calm her in such a manner as Willow, that’s how life always had been with the other witch. The kiss took her by surprise but wasn’t denied. Eyes slowly opened to examine the other woman as she spoke once again. “All the dark things in the world never deterred the light our relationship brought into my life Will.” Giving a mildly sad smile Tara slowly pulled her hand back with a sigh.

Glancing around eyes carefully searched for any possible exit. “I agree.” Moving away from where Willow stood Tara began to move around the room, trailing her hand along the wall as she carefully eyed the statues and other items to see if they may be blocking any other exits as Willow did so on the other side. “Maybe we need to have Jareth import those queer eye for the straight guy, guys. They might be able to help him spiff up the place some.” A giggle slipped from her own lips as she tried to be careful of the objects around them. “There has to be another way out Will, I’m sure if we put our heads together we can find it, no magic needed.”
