RP Etiquette
Hi Gang!

We would like to know your opinion on RP Etiquette and what you think the rules should be. We would like to know what really bothers you, and any suggestions you might have for keeping these things out of the game. We know that everyone, or most everyone, wants to play in a drama-free game and we want to do our part to make that happen.

With your feedback and ideas of our own, we will be adding a section to the mod journal regarding this etiquette and the expectations we have of the players in the game.

We would like you to keep your feedback to generalities and avoid pointing fingers or bashing other players. However, with that said, we would also like feedback on what we, as mods, could do better or keep an eye on.

We want you to feel as free as possible to give your feedback and encourage you to post your suggestion comments annonymously.

Thanks for all you do, you're a wonderful group!

I know this is really nit-picky, but I appreciate it when people use their spell check before they post their threads or replies.

I also appreciate it when the person I'm playing with makes an effort to match the length and quality in their reply that I gave to them. It isn't really fair to get two small paragraphs in response to four or five big paragraphs. I like the "give what you get" rule and wish more people would stick to it.

This isn't nit picky, as far as I'm concerned, this is vital. It makes it really hard to read someone's post if there are run on sentences and typos everywhere.

As far as length, I think some characters do have less to say sometimes than others, but at the same time I agree. However, I'd rather get two small paragraphs that get to the point than five big ones that just reiterate the same thing over and over, or worse, god-mod.

I agree. There shouldn't be reiteration or fluff to take up space, and the person shouldn't worry about matching word count or anything like that. But there does need to be plot furthering on the part of both/all parties involved. I find it rather difficult to do much other than respond the other person's actions/dialogue in two paragraphs. In order to further the storyline, there should be at least three new points of action or conversation with which to move it along. One person shouldn't be carrying the line while the other person just replies.

This isn't something that needs to happen each time, and sometimes replies will be shorter if something gets resolved or what not by the other person. But there should not be a line where one person consistently writes four nice sized paragraphs and gets mere sentences in return the whole time. That's all I'm saying.
