Kobol's Legacies

It had been a hectic week after Dani and Rhys's wedding. With the arrangements having pushed a lot of her regular work to the side Bethany spent the time catching up, preparing rosters, dealing with staff issues and checking over the stocks, especially glasses. Fortunately there had been very lower breakages, but things were still looking very tight and she knew she had to do more investigation into having some made. Drinking ale from tankards was fine, and something people had become used to, but champagne and wine were a different issue.

The other thing she wanted to catch up on was her visits to the classrooms on the Shangri-La, and the orphanage. It was her favourite 'relaxation' and she looked forward to her visits with the young girls and boys. It was the teenagers she spent the most time with, babies having been the first to find adoptive parents, as was the usual way.

The doors of the lift opened and she stepped out, a warm smile growing quickly as she walked toward the common room where she would be meeting with the girls who were waiting for her.
