HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, KISEKI~

Okay, the first year anniversary's event was a massive event re-play. It ended up creating a new option within the game, and it meant that we could torture our muses even more. So, this year's event had to be something that they wouldn't like, either.

Starting on Monday 4th, and ending on Sunday 10th, there will be a series of killings all around Kiseki.

During the duration of the event, your characters could suddenly appear dead, seemingly murdered (abuse the videos if you'd like - it should be bloody and messy, even if they really only just drop dead randomly). It will have been the world itself that killed them (for the lulz? who knows?), and they should come back to life after a while (*). No one should be able to witness these deaths, though; it wouldn't be fun if people figured out how it was happening, so Kiseki'll only cause these deaths when no one's around to witness it. Of course, that also means that the victims themselves won't become a "witness", either. They'll have fuzzy memories of the moment they died, and be unable to tell for sure what happened, or what really caused them to die.

Random Kisekians around the place will appear dead as well, only as it's custom for them, the ones that remain safe won't seem to care about as much as a normal person would. You could blame it on them being too used to Kiseki's shenanigans. They should come back shortly after (can anyone actually tell the Kisekians apart?), and they'll simply continue with their lives and seem unaffected. Oh, and the Welcome Center ladies won't die. In case someone was feeling hopeful 8|

The real fun part (?) of this, however, is that those won't be the only deaths.

Some characters will be possessed by Kiseki, and so they'll murder others. They'll suddenly become "evil", with a single purpose to kill whoever Kiseki decides they should kill. There won't hear some little Evil Overlord voice inside them or something, though, they'll simply know what they want to do. They'll remember anything they do while in this state, and come back to their senses once their purpose is served.

During this time, the characters will also be virtually undefeatable; if they had normal strength, it'll become super-human for the event. And those with powers will have them increased, and so while it is possible to try and fight back or defend yourself, the result will be the same either way.

A note for the most uber-powerful characters around: Kiseki's goal isn't to destroy the entire place, so if two people with powers too great end up in a fight, either the possessed!effect'll be removed and then someone else will attempt to kill the targeted victim, or whoever's posssessed will simply end up with a new victim in mind.

Also, anyone with weapons is free to use them, but if they lack any, they can always use whatever's handy or simply use their bare hands.

Your characters can be affected by both options, of course. They could die and come back just to kill someone, or kill someone, be murdered, and come back to kill someone again, etc. I trust people to not over-abuse that, of course, you don't want someone dying seven times during the event or something ;;

EDIT: I FORGOT TO SAY, ACTUALLY. Journals will filter out any attempt to warn people about what's going on. Not the killings themselves, but how people get possessed!11 and so basically no one's safe.

(*) The rules say that if the injuries aren't too severe when you die, you'll simply wake up. If they're minor, then you'll be healed in your sleep and then wake up. And if they're too severe, you'll disappear and re-appear in the Welcome Center sometime after (around one day or two, depending on the severity of the damage).

However, for this event only, the bodies will remain as they are until the time for them to be brought back to life is up, even if they were utterly maimed. Once the time is up, they should then disappear and show up as good as new (well, if you don't count the emotional damage) in the Welcome Center.

More minor injuries (like, say, deaths caused by choking) will be treated the same as always.

I hope that's all clear, since I'm not online atm and don't have anyone to check it over - please let me know if I'm forgetting any details or possible scenarios!

Have fun \8D/

Mwahahaha, this will be delightful. A question, though: will the possessed characters be all "Must. Destroy. Other. Character." or more like "Oh, other character? Would you perhaps like to come over for tea today so we can, ahem, talk~? *evil chuckle*"?

/goes post happy entries with her characters while there's still time

Think heartless!Cloney, for a better idea. It should be pretty obvious it's totally OOC.

...Now, for some strange reason, all I'm seeing is a legion of zombies á la Dawn of the Dead. [Although with how ridiculous some of the inmates in Kiseki are, it'd probably be more Shaun of the Dead, anyway.]

QUESTION: Can the possession be fought through willpower? Can characters have brief "No!! What am I-!? I. MUST. RESIST...!!" moments before they succumb to the whole Kill!1!1 influence of Kiseki?
