Kinkfest - November round prompt post
Welcome to the prompting post for Kinkfest's November round!
Prompting is open closed! Prompt lists will go up shortly. :3
There are very few rules for leaving prompts! They go as follows:
- Please leave your prompts in the format [number between 1 and 30] - [fandom] - [pairing] - [kink] - [prompt line/lyric/phrase/etc]. To prompt for a crossover, list it as "Crossover: fandom x/fandom y." Examples:
2 - Baccano! - Claire/Chane - blindfolds - no sight, no sound
18 - Ouran High School Host Club - Kaoru/Hikaru/Tamaki - clothing - “Whoever comes in his pants first loses.”
25 - Crossover: Battlestar Galactica/Firefly - Mal/Kara - dancing with death - "You're several types of crazy, girl."
- Please write out the names of your fandoms (no abbreviations!) and your pairings (no name-smooshes!) so they're easier to sort.
- You may leave as many prompts as you want; making prompts doesn't obligate you to claim any.
Along with the rules there are also some guidelines! All this stuff is optional, but helpful for you, for me, or both.
- Aim for diversity in your prompts, and try not to repeat yourself too much! The pool of claiming participants here is still relatively small, especially when compared to something like springkink on LJ -- there just aren't enough people to tackle two dozen prompts for your OTP, especially if it's a rare pairing or in an obscure fandom. Go for quality over quantity! Make a few prompts per pairing, and make them awesome. ^_^
- While it's okay to make comments with single prompts as they come to you, I'd encourage you to make a list and post them in a batch, if you think you're going to have a bunch! Partly this is for my benefit (fewer notifications in my inbox!) but also it helps you to keep track of your patterns, so you'll notice if you're asking for the same kink five times, or what have you.
- Don't forget your standby comfortable pairings! Kinkfest and similar challenges are great places to ask for really random combinations, and it's neat to see unusual things in the list, but don't hesitate to ask for the more common/popular ones too. After all, somebody has to prompt for them to get them on the list, right?
Notes for ANONYMOUS COMMENTERS in particular:
- Please double-check your comments to make sure your prompts contain all the necessary parts before you post them! With a logged-in comment I can ask the prompter to fill in a missing part, but with anonymous comments I have no way to contact you if you leave something out, so make sure your prompt looks good before you hit post.
- The part about saving up your prompts and posting them in a batch, instead of one at a time? That goes double for anon comments! Last round I had one or two cases where somebody posted two very similar prompts for the same pairing a couple of days apart. ^^;
Questions? Ask over here.
Ready? Get prompting! All comments are screened. :3
