Okay. I'm not sure trading fairy tales for dinosaurs is an upgrade, but as long as I'm not here alone, I won't complain.

Which is to say, has anyone seen a lovely blonde with an equally lovely baby? Answers to the name of Stephanie, or Steph. I'd really like to know I'm not sans wife.

You know, she'll be three in a few months. I'm not sure baby is the right word any more.

But she's with me and she's going back and forth between being very grumpy about daddy not being here and squealing about dinosaurs.

Before you say anything, we are not getting her a dinosaur.

Also - is this Tommy's fault? I feel like with all the dinoporn, it's his fault.

I like baby more than toddler. Rather she stay young as long as possible. She's going to be grown before I blink.

Not even a small one? I'm sure an Albertadromeus wouldn't take up much room.

I say we go with that until we know better.

You are adorable, you know that? Joy is going to grow up at a perfectly normal human rate. Not sure I can say the same for her brother or sister.

No dinosaurs. Our lives are hectic enough.

It seems like a safe assumption.

She's going to stay tiny as long as I can pretend. Because I love denial. It's a very nice island.

Brother or sister?

Okay. No dinosaur.

It's mathematically the most likely.

You are such a dad. It's hilarious.

Surprise? I was going to tell you before, and then we got transported to Dinotopia before I could.

And nothing resembling a dinosaur. I know how you love finding loopholes.

Exactly.

hey. you're having like a sort of demigod baby. what if it needs worshippers. or has horns. or what if it lives for ten billion years and is an infant for like a thousand.

They never age like we do by virtue of the human half.

It's not something you can entirely rule out. It just depends on which end of the spectrum they end up closer to.

I'm sure your suggestions will be well thought out and not at all inappropriate.

Oh. Wow. And you're all right? I know half God baby was an idea that was kind of terrifying to you before. Or at least. Seemed to be.

I mean, I'm delighted. And I promise you probably have nothing to worry about. 90% of my kids have been perfectly normal.
