I'm going to miss spending my time with some of the world's most majestic beings. I'll also be sad to no longer work closely with the Crown breeding their Abraxan. It's a bittersweet moment but I received an offer I can't refuse and a request to join the staff at Hogwarts. Seems our old Care of Magical Creatures professor chose to retire early leaving a vacancy. As much as I love what I do, there is nothing I'd love more than to share the love of our world's creatures with students.
It's almost like old school days with Lily and Peter both there already.

There's always quite a bit of frenetic energy when the sun is in Aries. It's a good time to remember to take a deep breath. We enter the Taurus season on 19 April, which is a steadying earth sign. While I'm an astronomer, I know this much about astrology.
The full moon is 8 April, as any of our werewolf fellows could likely tell you. It will be followed the next day by the conjunction of Jupiter and Pluto.
From 16 to 25 April, but peaking on the 22nd, we have the Lyrid meteor shower. From London, the radiant of the shower will appear at a peak altitude of 72° above your horizon. It should be visible throughout the night. No doubt the nearly new moon will help visibility.
28 April, Venus will be at greatest brightness.

Day four in the wilderness and things have taken a turn for the up and up. I have become a tribe of one, two if you count Nuts, the squirrel. I built a shelter out of sticks and palm leaves with my bare hands. I fished in the lake and caught enough to have a feast for a small village (I threw what I didn't want back though, no need in wasting resources). I have weathered the storm and started a fire that did not turn into a massive disaster.
I am warm, I am well-fed, I am at peace.
I have made this retreat my bitch and I have done it all on my own without using a single bit of magic.
I fancy myself a bit of a survivalist now.
I also am covered head to toe in mud to keep the insects at bay.
I've got this! I've totally freaking got this!
Can I go home now?

So, I need a little perspective, because Gwenog seems to think I'm crazy or just doesn't give a shite, and all my Gryffindor friends are involved in one way or another.
Let's say you have this friend, who is a great friend, or so you think, and then she ups and disappears overnight without a word, a note, or anything, leaving her boyfriend to tell you she fucked off without a goodbye. Then she comes back years later, and never apologises.
You're now expected to work and bond with her, and be a cohesive unit because it's for the good of the team.
That's absolute shite, right? Like, I'm expected to make this work somehow, and I don't know how. Am I being unreasonable? Because I don't think I'm being unreasonable. Am I just being an arse because my father got my mum up the duff and left us?

One of my mates has decided she wants to become some nutter out of a romantic novel. Last time I checked, no one actually thought Tarzan was a great idea for a living situation. Also going out into the woods doesn't prove you're not a mess, in fact, I'm pretty sure you've just continued to put out to the public what a mess you are.
