I survived day one and two of this retreat. I'm completely isolated in the freaking wilderness. I have a tent, I have survival necessities. I'm pretty sure that I have accidentally eaten a few insects because it's hot, and they're all over the place. I had issues getting a decent fire going and then it went from that to uncontrollable, I set the entire tent up in flames on accident.
Now I am sitting here with a sleeping bag, no fire because I don't need to set anything else up in a blaze and a half-eaten dinner of fish that I had to fish out of a lake all by myself, that I prepared by tent fire.
Being on my own is swell, let me tell all of you about it.

I'm beginning my transition into becoming a hermit or going absolutely stir crazy mostly confined to the walls of this house. This is unacceptable and simply will not do.
Dax, I'm going for a ride and while that usually entails me going into the bedroom with Remus, I'm meaning my bike this time.
Remus, don't wait up, it seems that the best time for me to be out and left to my own devices is when everybody else is sleeping.
Is my head still being a sought after delicacy? I'm trying to determine whether or not I'm going to run out into public crowds tomorrow, harassing decent folk.

ooc note: this includes Harry, Ginny and their friends pretty much so if you think you are that you can jump on inHi! So, I was thinking. We should have a chill friends party/hangout to celebrate the engagement of Harry and Ginny. I am sure they will have tons of posh parties ahead so thought we should celebrate in a more laidback way they would appreciate without all the fuss. Also, a great excuse for folks to get together since we are all busy adults with lives these days.
I can always ask to host at the Potter residence, but if someone has a location they could suggest great! I can do most of the organizing. It's going to be held at the Crystal Ball Lounge in Wizarding London. You can dress as fancy or not fancy as you want. The royals think they can have all the fun? Well, guess again! Dress shopping is exhausting. Mum took me to Paris for the day and had nothing positive to say about any dress that I liked. She also brought up some of the rumors about what I'm doing in my free time that has managed to spread around court.
I'm happy, can't that just be enough?
Oh a better note, moving photograph of me in Paris. Paris is always lovely, but I'd much rather have been there with mates or someone special.

I leave for a few days to take care of my father and come back to a mess. At least my replacement kept my charge alive while I was gone. Merlin forbid that have gone south.
