Just wanted folks to know I'm not dead yet! To those of you whom I have threads with, my apologies for disappearing so suddenly - work was surprisingly evil all of a sudden. Should let up for a brief spell on Monday, but then it's back to the grind at least until Friday. SO SORRY!

We've got 9/36 Plot-shots in progress. That's 25% exactly! Not bad progress so far, but I'd like to get more filled out. Take a look and see if you have any ideas! I posted a link to that OOC entry at Rp-tutorials as a plot idea, so I'd like to see us eventually getting to all of them.

Madam Puddifoot is sponsoring an event, the Valentine's Day Valentine For a Day cupid service. You can pay ten galleons and nominate someone who is in need of love on Valentine's Day. A "cupid" (A Goblin degrading himself in costume) will arrive to shoot them with a dose of a short-lasting love potion. The potion will make them love someone until sunrise the next day.
Of course friends who think they are funny might nominate someone who isn't single.
So if you have a player character your character would bother to nominated OR if your character has an NPC relative or friend who would be so cruel, post their name here. I'll pair them up to see who they end up "loving."

Theodore Nott is an investor, like Draco. He managed to squeeze his way out of the war without taking the mark-- just barely. He also has a couple deep-dark secrets:
Theodore's face is scarred from Sectumsempra cast by his Death Eater daddy. He is very socially capable but not really extroverted. He's well dressed, intelligent, articulate, but also very secretive and shallow.
You guys requested Slytherins. Here he is!
Also, for his backstory, I could use a girl in his year that suits his taste of elegant, well-dressed girls, who is not pureblood. He got in trouble with Daddy 6th year for canoodling with someone who wasn't pure enough.
- His "father" killed his mother for her affair
- He killed his "father" in a fight and told the Death Eaters that a muggleborn did it.
- He is actually the son of Gawain Robards-- who is dead, too.

A new plot event is starting this weekend. Plot Shots are one-word premises designed to inspire threads. There are 36 Plot Shots in this post to whet your appetite for writing. To play simply pick a word. Submit a comment claiming the word by putting it in the subject line. You may request that someone help you out in the comment by giving a premise of what you want to do with it and looking for volunteers. You can IM other players or simply start an OTA. Please do not try to double-up on words for the same thread (You might proposition someone to have a threesome, but just pick the word that best fits or is least likely to get taken otherwise and choose that!). The other big rule is that you should not claim a word and then wait a week to post. Only claim a word that you plan to thread immediately or as soon as you can get a partner to agree to it. I will mark the taken ones and link to those threads when we get them posted. I look forward to seeing what we get! ( The Plot Shots ) |

Because I'm totally insane and self-loathing (apparently) I tagged every single damn entry in the IC community. After days of tagging, a full tag list is available here. Please, from now on, try and remember to tag any threads with the characters involved. Tags are set up by canon name, so Ginny is Ginny Weasley, Robert is Summers, Kherrington is K Bundy, etc. Tags make things sooo much easier to find.
Read back over select entries along the way, I realized a few things. So here are my awards. We're very close to our one year anniversary, btw.

I made a nifty Most Wanted code a few weeks back in my CDJ and now I want an excuse to use it. SOOOOOO I want 2 things from you.
A. A list of the top 5 characters you want to see in game (by Name)
B. If you want a specific role filled for a character, put what character and what role (ie. a girlfriend for Joe, an enemy for Tim).
This will help with advertising and also for plotting with who we already have. Thanks!

The International Association of Quidditch Players (it's the Quidditch union) is hosting a date auction for Valentine's Day. It's a charity thing. Proceeds go to Quidditch Charities (Quidditch camps for kids; funds for players who have been permanently disabled, dismembered, or killed; etc.)
Some players are obviously out (Ginny) but if your Quidditch player would like to be auctioned off, comment here. Maybe someone in game can buy a date. XD

Hey everyone! I'm Sara, probably a lot/most of you know me from when I was here before, and I'm bringing back my Lavender Brown. If I don't know you, then hello! All my health/school issues got cleared up and I missed this place so much, so I came back!
(I totally stole this from my last intro) Lavender is super bubbly and social, sometimes to the point of being annoying. She loves attention, practically needs, and will flirt with pretty much every guy (unless you are taken, she has very firm rules about that). She loves gossip, although she doesn't really do it in a intentionally cruel way, and will always be in other people's business wanting to know what's up. She loves fashion, especially giving people makeovers, and Divinations, and Charms. She does have some sight, but mostly just enough to do tea readings and tarot cards. She's very stubborn, and if you make her mad she will hold a grudge and make things very difficult for you. She gets very possessive and jealous, although she's been trying to work on that.
Since the war she has been a 'half-were', sort of like Bill Weasley. She has mood swings around the full moon and like raw meat, but doesn't change forms. She has a lot of scars on her body and hates when people mention them. Although she loves to flirt, but hasn't really dated since school and she's not as good with physical contact as she was.
My AIM is rainclouddreamer so feel free to bother me if I'm on!

Kherrie and Daphne have an advertising meeting for Luxe at the WWN. George can win a prize (concert tickets?) on the radio this week.

Okay, after being hit by a 24 hour bug that had me in bed for literally 30 hours (save the time I was miserable in the bathroom) just before Christmas Eve, and then family obligations that had me off of my computer for Christmas... and now the husband's off work this week and will inevitably steal me off of the computer for most of the time... I'm afraid I have to declare a bit of a mini-hiatus until after the New Year.
If you need me for anything, or want a thread with me, please, PLEASE ping me. :) I'll be on as much as I possibly can. And as soon as I get through these 30+ notifs in my inbox, I'll try to work on making new posts.
Can we just assume that my characters gave out amazing Christmas presents? You can always e-mail me and ask me what your pup got from mine. And also can we assume that they sent thank-you cards, too, if applicable.

So, in a few hours I'll be once again heading off to THE HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH W00T! Fun times to be had by all. Just letting you all know that. I'll most likely have internet, so I will still be around. If it turns out that I won't, you'll find out. Trust me. :P

No more torturing people before Christmas, but in January I have a plot lined up. So far it's kinda secret but I want some volunteers. So the conditions you have to agree to in order to get in are the only hints you get.
If you can get on board with that, volunteer your characters and we'll figure out a way to get them where they need to be for the plot.

Okay. So over the past two weeks finals totally beat me :( I had a zillion papers + lots of all-nighters. So not fun. But now I'm on break! And bored already o_o
