Where: Baxter bakery
What: Grand Opening!!

Audrey had her hands full. Her delivery girls (three of them in total, all recent Hogwarts grads) had gone through a brief training as to how to deal with customers, stock the pastry case and drink fridge, and use the espresso machine. Audrey was on the register. It was an incredibly busy morning, but they were getting to customers as quickly as they could--and when people had to stand and wait, one of the girls brought out a tray of cut up cookies for samples.

Business was booming--which was what she'd hoped for today. A lot of people brought in their coupons for free cookies, and a lot of people didn't. Nearly everyone picked up a cup of tea or a cup of coffee with their purchase, upping the sales and revenue. Audrey was insanely glad she'd put in the espresso machine, because it nearly doubled her earnings. Things were going swimmingly. And all of the friends that came into the shop made it even more wonderful.

Audrey broke into a grin when another familiar face came to the front of the line.

Another laugh escaped her. "Even married to me, you wouldn't get my secret recipe." She said, shaking her head a little and raising an eyebrow. "And you think I'd cook for you after baking for my customers all day long?" She paused. "Do you want some mustard for that?" She asked, motioning toward his plate.

"George Weasley." Audrey said, smiling warmly. "He's a very good guy. Couldn't make it today because he was caught in the quintaped attack, and he's still in the hospital."

	"George... one of the twins, right?" he asked, taking the mustard she offered. "Yeah, I remember him... Beater for Gryffindor, really funny... you're dating him?" he grinned. "Yeah... well, he'd better be good to my favorite tutor," Connor winked. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

"Yeah, though his twin brother was killed in the war." Audrey said a bit sadly. She slipped back into the chair opposite his and gave a soft groan. Her feet were barking. Or whatever the expression was. "He owns the Joke shop just down the way. He's a wonderful, wonderful guy..." She trailed off. Though she believed that George was amazing, she couldn't help but think about what happened with those damn Cauldron Cakes.

"He's good to me."

	Connor nodded, recalling hearing something about that while he was on the run. "Well, so long as he's treating you right and enjoys your cooking like I do... then I suppose I will back away from my marriage proposal," he said with a heavy sigh, taking another bite of the hot dog. 	"Well.... I haven't said no yet..." Audrey kidded, giving him a bright grin. She was joking, of course. Marrying Connor would probably make George rather unhappy, and she imagined that Connor was probably seeing someone... wasn't he? "Isn't there a girl in your life who would be a little upset if you ran off and eloped with me?" She asked, smirking a little. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Connor nodded a little. "Yeah... I think that I have enough problems trying to get Sela to believe me and trust me. Marrying you wouldn't help," he winked. The girl from behind the counter brought over his wrapped-up cake and bagels. "I should probably get going. I have early practice tomorrow and I want to get into this cake," he grinned. "I will definitely be back later in the week, though," he promised.

Sela... Sela... Sela... Audrey took a moment trying to remember her. But she was drawing a blank. Had she and Connor talked about Sela before, and she didn't remember it? She felt embarrassed that she couldn't recall.

"Well, I'll keep your flattery in mind." Audrey grinned, then shrugged. "Who knows, maybe ten years down the road..." She winked at him to show she was kidding.

"All right!" She laughed. "Good. I'll owl you if you don't come back in to keep me company. Who knows, after the Grand Opening crowd leaves, I'll probably need the customers."
