Hey you guys! I just wanted to say that I'm really, really sorry for being scarce this past week or so; I have been working a LOT, opening at Starbucks which means getting up at 4 am or so and then closing at my other job which means sometimes not getting out til 9 or later, and basically the few minutes of free time I've had have been spent sleeping or staring blankly into space failing to be constructive.

Unfortunately this is probably going to continue for the next week or so because I have been overscheduled at Starbucks (AGAIN.) But hopefully that'll be the last week. So I will try my uber-hardest to be around this coming week and after that I definitely 100% will be back up and running.

So that being said, who wants to plot with my girls? Hestia loves you! And Cissa...loves you if you're not a mudblood and even if you are mostly just pities you?

Speaking of Narcissa, she'll probably throw a dinner party soon. I meant to have done this by now but...life. SO THERE'S THAT!

Hey everyone I'm Caitlin with Bellatrix Lestrange. She is older than everyone else (I think) at the age of 27 and is already one of Voldemort's top Death Eaters so there is interaction there. She is extremly arrogant and will have an intense desire to curse mudbloods and blood traitors, but will of course have to restrain herself in public. If she is treated with the respect she deserves (or she believes so anyway) from those who are seen a worthy by her she could be somewhat pleasant.

I look forward to playing with everyone.

Hello everyone!

My name is Eve, and this is Juliet Rookwood. She is... well, a pureblood fanatic, in spite of the fact she herself is fullblood. She is a proponent of the International Statute of Secrecy, and is a separatist, advocating a complete break from the Muggle world. Her entire goal in life is to find a pureblood (though she'll settle for a fullblood) husband, marry, and have children in order to help purify the wizarding race. She is perky, bubbly, outgoing, and desperately involved in socializing in order to meet this end. At Hogwarts, she was a Slytherin, but she had friends in every house (even Gryffindor, because of her brother). She wasn't known as the brightest student, but she did alright. She actually purposefully "dumbed" herself down, so as to appear more attractive to the pureblood crowd, who generally look for a wife his is just barely intelligent enough to make conversation at dinners.

She doesn't actually have an internship, but she does secretly contribute to The Prophet with op eds on current events and sometimes as a freelance writer. She has various pseudonyms she uses to this end.

Her deepest secret is that she is actually a lesbian. She has no desire to be with a man - except to due her duty to have a fullblood child. Beyond that, she has no interest in them.

I'm looking for storylines and connections for her! I need female friends for her; gentlemen for her to flirt with; a potential suitor; and possibly, people who don't like her. It would also be nice if I could find a woman or two for her to have an unrequited crush on (though it might be best if this developed naturally). Also, anything else you folks can throw at us would be great!

Hello, everyone! My name is Kay, and I really should have posted this a few days ago, but my internet was not behaving. Anyway, here I am now, and I apologize for my lateness.

The character I am bringing in is Natalie Madley, a Daily Prophet intern who is a former Ravenclaw. She's very curious and loves learning things, which sometimes causes problems, because she likes to nose into things she shouldn't. She can also be a bit of a know-it-all, but it gets more tolerable the longer you know her. In general, she's pretty friendly, but she's not for everyone.

It's nice to meet everyone, and I look forward to writing with you all.

HEY you guys! I meant to put up a thread for Hestia's Crazy Leaky Cauldron Party on Friday, but time got away from me and now it is Sunday. So I'm wondering if anyone is interested? Because if so I will put one up and backdate it, but if not I'm not gonna worry about it. :)?

Hello hello! My name is Madeline and I'm another one of the newbies, as I see, though I recognize a lot of you from past games and such. Small world! Anyways, yes! I bring you Charity Burbage!

Charity's a '76 Hufflepuff graduate and former intern for the Ministry of Magic, where she now works still training as an Obliviator - she's just glad to get as close to muggles as she can. She's a fullblooded witch who inherited her muggle culture obsession from her father who works in the Wizengamot Administration Services. Her mother's from a disinherited branch of the pureblood Gibbon family, so she's never been held to the same standards as other privileged wizarding circles, and. . .well, it shows. She's very outgoing and ambitious, though in her own Hufflepuff way, and tries to make everyone happy and values fairness. She's a loyal friend - well of course she is, she's a Hufflepuff, and has the makings to be a natural leader, though of course she's young and has a while to go. However, when she is unhappy, she is the most passive-aggressive girl you've ever met. She's a bit naive and easily maniupulated in her idealism and attempts to make everyone happy, but she always means well.

You probably know her as the girl with the choppy dark hair who clip-clops around the Ministry in heels and wears her clothes just a little too tight sometimes. Charity is cute, but she's the kind of girl who knows how cute she can be, and uses it to her advantage. She talks in a way where flirtation almost comes naturally to her, as if she can't help it, and can come across as forward quite often. She likes being the center of attention, really, and she's very fun-loving and outgoing by nature. Sometimes she needs to be told to be more serious about things, about her work, which lasts at least until she finds something else more interesting to focus on. But when she does buckle down, she's very dedicated and gets stuff done. Any other information is HERE.

Charity's looking for anything and everything! Friends from all walks of life, people she thinks are her friends but can't stand her, people she sees at work, old roommates during her time in the intern flats that survived her "party girl" phase, ex-boyfriends, potential boyfriends, and other such connections! Any plot is good plot, and I'm all game! My contact info is in Charity's profile post, and I'm usually reachable by email - BlackBerry is addictive in that way :)

I look forward to playing with all of you!

intro!

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Hello everyone! My name is Elle, and I'm a new kid. I have Miriam Strout for you!

Miri is a Hufflepuff alumni from '77. She's a St. Mungo's intern going into her second year, and she likes to think she has the hang of things when really she's still a deer caught in the headlights. She's a very positive and soft-spoken girl, and she loves everyone and everything. She's very emotional and passionate, and is constantly on a mission to save the world, and that includes the littler things, like bugs and trees and things that people don't normally think of. She's a serious romantic and fancies herself an expert match-maker, even though she's not at all. Miri tends to take care of everyone but herself, as she's always trying to please and help out others. She's very naive and trusting, thus easily taken advantage of. Confrontation is not her friend, and any conflict that flares up she tries to resolve immediately. She's essentially the typical Hufflepuff, hard-working, loyal, etc. For more info, check out her bio!

I look forward to playing with you alllll!

Hello!

I ran into an unexpected lack of internet in France and Italy, but I have RETURNED properly. Let me know if I missed anything Sirius would pay attention to somewhere, or if there have been any Order developments. :D

On more OOC news notes, I imagine it's about time for Sirius' horrific mum to start sickening, since she dies off somewhere between now and PoA. If one of his relatives wants to let him know so he can be petty and bitter about it, let me know who you are. :D

Ahoy lovelies! So, my breath smells like durian, but I think it is DELISH. Anyway, say hello to Hippocrates Smethwyk! (Don't get him started on the name.) He's aware that it's a mouthful. Hence, he'll be lenient with the nicknames!

Firstly, he is a Huffie who graduated in '74, and he is currently finishing his last probationary year at St. Mungos. Secondly he lives in a lonely white-walled flat that he rarely ever comes home to because he is working so much nowadays. He has friends, he just doesn't use them too often because he doesn't make time for them. For shame, right? Thirdly, he was born to a set of muggle-infatuated pureblooded parents, so you can bet he is too. He'll do anything the muggle way is he thinks it can be done. Mostly everyone would have known him from school at one point. He was one of those mild-mannered, outstanding achievers that never really wanted attention, but got it anyway. Doesn't like change, really predictable, closet oddball (see his personality section for all his little quirks!) Please, someone, save him from himself! And plots are good too. Enemies, past relationships, possible people who will despise him for being so damn good at his job, people who resent his parents, yadda yadda!

Oh yeah! I am Lee, psych/romance languages major at UNLV, pacific time zone. I have work on the weekends, so I'll be scarce then, but I will try to be online for weekdays. IF NOT, email works too!

Hey you guys! Sara here with my second baby, Miss Hestia Jones! She is a new intern at St. Mungo's, having graduated in the class of '78 from Hufflepuff. She's extremely outgoing and energetic and looooud, and also very very tiny. The loudness is basically in inverse proportion to her actual size. Which made her a good Seeker, anyway. Her mum is a Burke, but a disinherited one, meaning Hestia doesn't know that side of her family at alllll (except for any relatives she might have met at school,) and her dad is a muggle who didn't actually know what it was his wife had been disinherited from until his daughter turned out to have magic. Oops. He and Hestia are not very close. Hes has a twin brother who is not magical but who she talks about a lot.

Obviously, a much more detailed look is in her profile post.

PLOT PLOT PLOT PLEASE! Friends? People who think she's obnoxious as hell? Exes? Flirtations? Fellow St. Mungo's interns? Throw 'em at me!

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Hey guys! It's Sarah again (Mary's player, since there's a few of us :P) this time with Samuel Proudfoot! Although, he would like to make it clear that no one really calls him Samuel besides his grandparents (who insist Samuel is a wonderful name with a rich history and refuse to call him by anything else) and his mum, occasionally (normally when he's in trouble, and always when she sent a howler to Hogwarts). Otherwise, he goes by "Sam". It's not that he doesn't like the name Samuel- Sam was just shorter and easier when he was little, and he got used to using that instead of his full name.

Sam was a Ravenclaw and he graduated from Hogwarts in 1977. He's currently entering his second year of auror training. Sam is very bright, but laid back. He likes reading and learning just for the sake of reading and learning, and Sam reads a lot. His family owns a bookstore in Leeds, and since money was usually pretty tight, Sam replaced toys with books as a kid. As a result, Sam's sort of like a walking encyclopedia. He knows a lot of random things, so if your character ever needs to know the date of a prominent goblin rebellion or the eating habits of the Hungarian Horntail, they can probably ask Sam. If he doesn't know, he'll look it up for you!

One important part of Sam's history is that his father died of a brain aneurysm when he was four. This isn't something that Sam likes to talk about, but if you're a friend of his or have known him for a long time, then you'll probably know about it. Sam's very close with the rest of his family, especially his younger sister Hannah who was a Hufflepuff '78 and now interning at St. Mungo's. Sam is a little eccentric, but he's a very nice bloke. He's talkative and generally friendly, though he actually has a pretty quick temper.

Sam also played Quidditch at Hogwarts, and he was really pretty good. He was the seeker for the Ravenclaw team for five years and was captain his sixth and seventh years. He's still an avid Quidditch fan, and his favorite team is the Montrose Magpies!

You can read more about them here. I'm looking for friends, enemies, ex-girlfriends, whatever you want to throw at me.

THE MASSIVE OOTP PLOT POST

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Or, The Post in which Chi is Confused

I don't think these questions have canon answers, so maybe we can all agree on 'em?

So, circa '78...

1. Who is in the Order? (I'm assuming there are people who are already in it? Or are in it first?)
2. How old is it?
3. Icky Snape isn't in it yet, and neither are the Marauders, but they will be soon, I think... is there an initiation process and who initiates the initiation?
4. What is the air-speed velocity of an unladen swallow

...Wow, we need more male interns!

Each flat has room for four people. The original plan was to have two males/two females since there are only two bathrooms. We could make the flats single-sex, though. The original plan also put people doing the same internship together. Yay or nay?

Here is a very tentative assignment list. )

The groupings are definitely just a starting point! Is there anyone you'd love your character to be stuck with? Would Amelia have placed anyone specifically together?

Hello, everyone! This is Gilderoy Lockhart, Slytherin '78, and he wants to be your friend! :D

Well, he wants you to like him, anyhow - he's pretty sure that's what it means to have a friend - and he knows that being terribly pleased to meet people is a good start, so he's terribly pleased to meet everyone. He's usually just terribly pleased all around, as a matter of fact. He's not as you could call bright, but he's dead friendly, always up for a little fun, never brings down the room by talking politics or any of that rot, and will only screw you over if he has to to get what he wants. Think Bertie Wooster, but a bit of a sociopath.

He's also a homosexual, the only evidence of which to date he covered up rather nastily during his fifth year at Hogwarts. (You can read more about that, if you like, in his profile.) He's in the closet, and tries to do as much womanizing as possible to keep things under wraps. Whether his series of not-even-one-night stands is fooling anyone is an open question, of course; but if he thinks his reputation is in danger he can get a little desperate and might try to brainwash someone. Nothing personal!

He'll be working at the Daily Prophet, as he thinks he'd someday like to be a travel-writer. He needs friends! Enemies! (He's awful at knowing when he's being made fun of, so any inimical feelings might be somewhat unilateral, but that doesn't make them any less fun.) Past conquests-but-not-really, future girlfriends, future boyfriends? Anything and everything.

And I'm Rabs, and you can get me at rhabdouxos on AIM, or rhabdouxos at gmail. :) Looking forward to playing with you all!

Hey guys, my name's Sarah and I'll be playing Mary MacDonald. It's been a long time since I've RPed, so I'm really excited to be getting back into it! I'm 19 years old, turning 20 in September, and I'm double majoring in Dance and History. I'm actually an intern myself right now over at the Museum of Jewish Heritage in NYC. It's a pretty sweet deal. If you need to get in touch with me my AIM is swishandflick26, e-mail is sarah.kravitz13@gmail.com, and I just made a CDJ like literally the other day, [info]onpointe, so you can add me there if you're so inclined.

Onto Mary! Mary is fresh out of Hogwarts where she was in Gryffindor, and she is currently interning at the Daily Prophet. She's Scottish and was born and raised in Aberdeen, Scotland, but is currently living in the intern flats in London. Mary has three younger siblings and her parents are very religious (her father is a minister). Mary is very close to her family, and she's extremely protective and defensive of them because they're muggles. Mary is a very strong-willed person. She likes to do things on her own and doesn't like accepting help from other people. She's opinionated and has a mind of her own. Mary doesn't like to let other people influence her. She can be insanely stubborn, but Mary usually always means well. Generally, she is a nice person and easy to get along with. She's very outgoing and talkative. Mary is also extremely honest, so only ask her for the truth if you can, in fact, handle the truth.

I guess that's about it, I'm not the best at intros so if anything needs clarification just check out her profile here. Mary could use some friends and enemies and what have you, so leave it all here.

intros are for lovers

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Hey there! My name's Ace, bringing up the rear on the intros today. I'll be playing your friendly neighborhood Remus.

Remus is fresh off of a slew of rejections from internships, dirt broke, but still hopeful he can do some good with the Order and pretend everything is fine job-wise around his friends. His profile is over here. He's got a depressingly blank relationship history but was on pretty good terms with everyone in his house, and is obviously pretty infamous as far as being one of those trouble making Marauders goes. He's always been the most bookish of the foursome anyway, and really prefers blending into the woodwork. Oh, and he'll be disappearing off the face of the earth one day a month due to prior engagements with fuzziness.

I love plot, so feel free to hit me up with some! Friends, enemies, people to give him the death glare when he wanders by (Severus, I see you over there), I'm game.
