welcome to miami

WHAT'S UP?

this is the first of three posts that will welcome your characters into the game! we're so excited to start writing with all of you. please feel free to use this post to do all manners and styles of roleplaying. if you wanna do threads? go for it. if you want to do dialogue-only posts? go for it! take this as seriously or as lazily as you want.

this particular ic/ooc can be used for all interactions that take place prior to boarding the ferry at 6 PM. we have provided some basic headers for various places, but you're more than welcome to make your own, or if you'd prefer the uniformity of the mod look, nudge us and we'll slap something up real quick. you're also welcome to reply to any number of headers more than once! just have fun with it, k.

we will be posting part two tomorrow (friday!), but if you haven't wrapped up everything you'd like to do by then you're welcome to continue keeping at it for as long as you'd like.

just as a lil reminder, tales are able to recognize tales based on sight alone! if you see them, you know who they are! ;*

Kane arrived a little early (because of Agatha's keener influence, surely) wearing his usual attire, including his biker vest (complete with Lone Wolf, Nomad, and various other patches). He's carrying a ratty leather duffel and a camera bag.

As big and rough and tough as he looks, he'd have a smile for anyone who looked his way, because he is actually trying to make a fresh start here, and he can be charming when he wants to be. He'd be friendly enough to anyone who approached him, and would probably also start a few conversations himself. He's genuinely interested in meeting other Tales, so though he's feeling some nerves and has a temper, he'd likely stay on his best behaviour. It is only day one, after all.

	Kane would be surprised by that question, but quickly realize his camera bag was sort of a giveaway. "I guess. Seems like a once in a lifetime sort of thing happening here, seemed worth trying to capture it," Kane answered. He held out his hand to shake and introduced himself. "Kane." Pronounced KA-neh. Cass gives him a friendly but firm handshake in return. "That makes sense. It's not every day you get an invitation to a secret island with others who are... like us." Cass still hasn't quite figured out how to refer to other Tales, since he's always been alone in this as far as he knew.

"Pleased to meet you, Kane," he says, careful to pronounce it exactly as it was given to him, although he does have a hint of an accent. "I'm Cass."

	Cass lowers his voice, half-joking. "I'm still not sure this isn't some sort of a trap, but we'll see." He grins. "Oh, I've been all over." he says vaguely, not wanting to mention what he had been doing in California, or why he'd had to get the fuck out of Dodge. "What about you?" 	"Not too worried. Been in traps before. They didn't take," Kane replies, a little playful about it, and flashes Cass a toothy grin right back. "I'm from New York. Just got here last night. 	"Hmm, I know who I want on my team then," Cass smirks. "New York, eh? I like New York. Florida is a bit... humid." He pauses, debating how much exactly he wants to reveal about himself here before deciding, fuck it, he is, in fact, here to make friends. 	Kane notices that none of that really screams income, but obviously neither does what Kane himself shared, because it's not like he's going to just volunteer what he does for his motorcycle club. 	"Magical critters," Kane snorts. "Maybe you're a critter. I'm the big bad wolf, bitch." But his smirk morphs into a wide grin as he says it, and the expression on his face is almost a little silly.
