welcome to miami

WHAT'S UP?

this is the first of three posts that will welcome your characters into the game! we're so excited to start writing with all of you. please feel free to use this post to do all manners and styles of roleplaying. if you wanna do threads? go for it. if you want to do dialogue-only posts? go for it! take this as seriously or as lazily as you want.

this particular ic/ooc can be used for all interactions that take place prior to boarding the ferry at 6 PM. we have provided some basic headers for various places, but you're more than welcome to make your own, or if you'd prefer the uniformity of the mod look, nudge us and we'll slap something up real quick. you're also welcome to reply to any number of headers more than once! just have fun with it, k.

we will be posting part two tomorrow (friday!), but if you haven't wrapped up everything you'd like to do by then you're welcome to continue keeping at it for as long as you'd like.

just as a lil reminder, tales are able to recognize tales based on sight alone! if you see them, you know who they are! ;*

	Kane notices that none of that really screams income, but obviously neither does what Kane himself shared, because it's not like he's going to just volunteer what he does for his motorcycle club. 	"Magical critters," Kane snorts. "Maybe you're a critter. I'm the big bad wolf, bitch." But his smirk morphs into a wide grin as he says it, and the expression on his face is almost a little silly. Kane laughs again and says, "Well, all I did was eat some grandma and some little girl, so I guess you got me beat."

It's easy to joke about being beat when so far, he's won every fight he's been in, so there's no real challenge there, even when he raises his eyebrows at that answering bitch. Not that Kane is particularly proud of his fairy tale origins. In this life, he protects his club, especially the women and children, because none of them are even part of the shadier dealings the men take on. He is a predator, sure, because that's what he's good at, but he doesn't target defenseless women.

	"Well, I think you've got me beat in this life, so I guess we're even," Cass assures him, not wanting to a) start this off on the wrong foot or b) hint at too much competence; it was always far better to come across as sweet and guileless than to reveal himself as a predatory creature too, albeit not in the exact same way. Kane recognizes a smooth operator when he sees one, but he doesn't begrudge Cass for it. This is day one, there's no reason to ruffle feathers, so to speak. Or get hackles up. He knows every single person here has secrets just by nature of who, or what, they all are.

"I guess we are," Kane agrees easily, because whether or not they actually are, an agreement is what suits this moment.
