It was funny how people said one hotel room looked like another. She'd thought that was the case, too, until she woke up in one that was definitely not the one she'd fallen asleep in. It was a lot nicer, for one thing. She couldn't afford these sorts of rooms. She made good money, sure, but there were some people who offered items in barter rather than money, and she was more interested in taking care of an animal, saving its life, than she was in buying big houses or fancy cars.
Nice or not, she didn't know how she'd wound up here. Sitting up, she ran her fingers through her hair and looked around. Spying the Blackberry on the nightstand, she turned it on. While she was waiting for it to power up, she read the note that it had been resting on. Kidnapped. Kidnapped? Seriously? Her eyes narrowed slightly before she shook her head.
Clicking on the network icon, Mercy started scrolling through the most recent entries. Witches? Wizards? Dementors? Why did this sound like something from some overly creative child's imagination? Then there was the music to consider. It had been ... soft-ish when she'd woken up, but the volume was definitely increasing to inappropriate for inside levels. What, exactly, was this place?
Mercy shook her head, and after briefly exploring the room, dressed in jeans and one of her (it was hers, too, wasn't it?) plaid shirts over a black tanktop. She supposed she should go meet the others, since ... she wasn't going to find any answers here.
Sliding her feet into a pair of canvas slip-on shoes, Mercy let herself out. She took the elevator down to the lobby, and stepped out of it. Glancing around, she decided she'd accost the first person she saw in the hopes they weren't as new and confused as she was, to try to find out what was really going on here.
