Summary: Dementors go bye-bye

It wasn't so very different from the way the reaver attack had gone down. A steady increase, the worst of it on Friday, and then ... nothing. Just after midnight (as far as anyone could tell, anyway), the lights flickered back on, the lobby warmed right back up, and the dementors were gone. Lily left her patronus out a moment or two longer before she dismissed the doe and sank onto the floor where she'd been standing.
She was utterly exhausted, and felt like she could sleep for ages. At least well through the afternoon, at any rate.
When she felt her device buzzing, she withdrew it and read the message from one of their captors. She shook her head and repocketed it; what good would come of telling them exactly what she thought of their congratulations?
Still, she turned emerald eyes to survey what she could see of the room from her lowered vantage point. Truthfully, after she'd started putting up wards ... was it honestly just under twenty-four hours ago? She thought most everyone had come downstairs by then. She could hear voices drifting from the rec area. No laughter, not yet, but she imagined that would come, soon.
Lily tried to mentally account for everyone, but her mind was a little fuzzy. She needed to sleep -- and she would, soon -- but she wanted to make sure everyone was all right first. She'd do that ... in just a minute. As soon as she could get up.

Tristan was among those who'd chased Lily off to try to sleep, though he wasn't sure who actually succeeded. He still wasn't surprised to see her in the lobby. He did hoped she'd gotten some sleep, but he knew how hard it was to sleep through the dreams. He nodded to Lily as he passed on his way to the rec area, his silvery wolf bounding ahead of him even though he knew (assumed) he didn't need it out anymore. He eyed one of the couches, but thought he should do some sort of head count to see who was down here and what kind of shape they were in.
He was just ... glad it was (probably) over. He didn't think he could have managed another day, and he thought he'd only managed this far because he'd been furry for some of it. He thought it would be a hellaciously ironic kick in the trousers if Lan showed up now when all was said and done, and he sighed a little as he snatched a couple of the chocolate bars from the table in case anyone looked like they still needed recovery.
