Severus lingered under the trees hidden by a powerful Disillusionment Spell as Potter and Weasley, both wet and cold but with sword and shattered locket, headed back towards the tent they were staying in. He didn't bother following them as he already knew that he wouldn't be able to find the tent. While many aspects of Miss Granger could be criticised, her spellwork was not one of them. Beside he had seen the task done and that was what was important, even if the idiot Potter bot had so very nearly failed. Sheer dumb luck indeed. Minerva was more right than she knew.
As soon as Potter and Weasley were out of earshot, he apparated back to the small clearing outside the school gates that he usually used to come and go. He heard a noise coming from behind him but before he could turn, something struck him and he knew nothing more.
He woke slowly much later, aware of two things: that although he was lying on a bed, he was not in Hogwarts and that he had been drugged in some way that he didn't recognise. He opened his eyes and looked around to find himself in a place he had never seen before but one that looked suspiciously Muggle. He got up and strode over to the window. One glance assured him that he was most definitely not in Hogwarts.
His next order of business was to examine the room he was in. Had the Order gotten their hands on him? Though that would not entirely explain the very Muggle nature of this room. The note he found on the nightstand quickly disabused him of that idea and he swore viciously for a moment. He absolutely could not be taken away from his tasks, not now.
He picked up the key and the strange object that was sitting next to it and stalked over to the door. He needed answers but more importantly he needed a way out of here. He had things to do that were far too important.
