RP: Impossible!
Characters: Lily, Luke
Time/Date: late morning, August 30
Location: rec area
Warnings/Rating: R, descriptions of a threesome
Summary: Lily watches something that hasn't happened and couldn't possibly happen
Status: Complete

Lily had seen Jayne's "warning" in the network, as well as the subsequent comments, and had felt her stomach roll unpleasantly. The first thought was of the children - after the condom incident, she really thought they needed better supervision. Maybe she'd have to take it on herself ... though Tyler had admitted he had built something of a rapport with Lizzy. Maybe they could ... find some volunteers to take turns so no one was a full time parent here. Either way, she didn't want the girls watching whatever was on the telly.

She did wonder what else was on, and somehow it seemed better to occupy the lobby telly than to find out in her own room. So it was that she made her way out to the couch, plucking the remote from where it had been left (jammed between the cushions of the couch).

Lily inhaled slowly before turning on the TV. She pressed the button to bring up the grid and looked at the available programs. It wasn't the usual thing. There were no kids programs, no nature shows, no comedies, no dramas, no movies, no shows that were usually listed. Instead, the listings were for movies that were apparently laden with gore and violence and sex. She saw, too, shorter entries that bore some of their names.

While she wasn't inclined to watch any of them, she ... had to. She had to know what people who were watching the entry labeled "Lily, Sirius, James" were seeing. She didn't want to, but she'd rather know than not. So she scrolled down to it and pressed it.

She watched as the screen went black as the request was processed, and then the scene opened. Lily saw herself sitting at a vanity table, brushing her hair. She noticed right off it was longer than it was now, and more than that, she was pregnant. Not hugely so, but enough.

She watched as Sirius stepped in (Sirius was living with them? Or just visiting?), and she felt a slight ache of homesickness. She  missed her friends, her husband, and god did she ever just want to go home. Watching, she saw Sirius flop down on the bed. Heard him asking about James, when would James be home. She saw herself moving to join Sirius on the bed in a more familiar manner than she thought she was completely comfortable with. Watched as he started to tickle her.

James came in then, grinned a little, told Padfoot to be careful because Lily was expecting. She watched herself rise to greet her husband, and Lily felt her heart breaking even as she stared hungrily at the images. James, her James, alive still. Distracted as she was by studying him and him alone, she wasn't aware how the scene was shifting until she realized that she was now on the bed, and naked. Lily's eyes closed. Anyone watching was going to see this. Her, naked, with her husband and her husband's best mate.

Forcing her eyes open, she continued to watch. She watched the show as Sirius watched James touching  her, and then ... somehow ... Sirius was out of his robes, and James - James! - was removing Sirius' smiley-face boxers. Lily stared in utter horror as Sirius joined them on the bed, watched as she took him in her mouth as James began to fuck her.

Pressing a hand over her mouth, she wanted to stop this, stop watching it, but it was like a train wreck, and she really, really couldn't turn away. Everyone else was seeing. She had to know. She didn't like the camera angles changing like they did. Like someone had been there to record it - or there were several cameras planted. Either way, it was disgusting, but she watched it until the end. Until James had finished inside of her, and she'd swallowed Sirius. Until the program itself turned off.

Disgusted and shaken, Lily turned the TV off. Someone else could screen things. Someone who wasn't going to be on these programs. Hugging herself, Lily gazed down toward the floor as she tried to come to terms with what she'd seen. Was it something that really did happen? Or had their captors  faked it somehow, staged it? She and Sirius didn't have a relationship even vaguely resembling the one she'd seen on screen, but ... would that change in the year or so that had passed?

Lily tried very, very hard not to imagine everyone watching this. To know, now, that everyone here was going to know what she looked like naked. To know she'd engaged in ... things like that. It was mortifying and horrifying and completely humiliating ... and she wasn't sure how much more of their games she was going to be able to endure.

Luke had been out for a run this morning, after doing every exercise he could think of, to work out his muscles and try to, well, try to not think about not being really a contributing factor here at all. He felt sort of useless, and was trying not to let it wear on him, even as he knew it was.

But when he entered his room, flipped on the strange holo viewer and heard something, he was drawn to it. And then he was blushing instead, a moment later, when he stared at the television screen. He saw a lot of the people here... doing things that he had heard of but never seen or done himself. And he saw himself, kissing Princess Leia, and blowing up the Death Star. (It looked a lot more odd on the screen.)

He watched a number of programs, turned on and horrified at the same time. He finally turned it off, frustrated and disturbed. everyone's privacy was interrupted now. he shook his head, and, taking a hot shower, and decided that maybe being away from the television was a better idea. even if he sort of wanted to go back and watch a few more.

Instead he went downstairs in search of food, only to see one of the people he'd seen on those shows... and find himself blushing, staring, and very much at a loss for words.

Lily glanced back as she heard someone entering the kitchen area. She started to smile when she recognized Luke, but given the fact he was blushing ... she assumed he'd seen.

Oh lord. Lily decided she'd just start working on the assumption everyone had seen, and simply hope that they all possessed the decency not to call attention to the fact.

There were at least a couple she thought she could count to comment on it ... so she hoped she could avoid them.

"Hello, Luke," Lily said quietly. "How ... how has your morning been?" she continued in a slightly strained voice. She wondered what else he'd seen. If perhaps he'd been featured. Perhaps everyone here had ... and she was again of the mind someone should tend to the children.

He coughed and nodded,. "Ah..." His voice was a little higher than normal, and he stopped, cleared his throat, and continued. "Okay. Sort of-- disturbing. But, er, okay."

He smiled, and took a deep breath, then headed for the counters and the fridge, determined to just get something to eat, even if he could imagine what he'd seen, very, very well.

"How have you been today, Lily?" Not going to mention it, at all. Nope. And not going to stare at the incredibly sexy woman. Nope.

She nearly laughed. His morning had been disturbing; did he think hers had been anything less? She thought anyone who'd watched the telly this morning had had a disturbing morning.

But then, she reasoned there were probably some people here who'd ... rather enjoyed watching it. That thought kind of mortified her further, and she tried very hard not to think about anyone possibly wanking to the scene.

Of course, once the thought was there, it was hard to shake, and she simply looked utterly petrified for a moment before she swallowed. "Well, disturbed would be ... a way to go, yes," she agreed.

"I suppose this means they're back to their tricks," she murmured.

"Back-- they do this a lot?" the words came out, and he stared, for a moment forgetting his embarrassment, though the memory of it came back quickly, as did his blush. Too much skin and movement had been on that screen. And he hated to think if anyone had seen him somehow like that, even though he had never had sex, with anyone!

Fishing through the fridge brought out something to snack on and he quickly munched on it. He wondered how many would be in those shows, how many had managed to have experiences he had never done.

"Not ... not this specifically, no. But lately, they've taken to exploiting us. After outright attacking us with ... cannibals." Lily exhaled softly. "I'm ... absolutely mortified and hope that no one else sees the things they're showing, and hoping that they don't ... that there's nothing in the younger ones' pasts that's going to make it on the screen."

She was an adult, and she could handle this. Well, she'd be mortified and embarrassed and traumatized - which she supposed was the point - but she could handle it. She could cope.

The others? She wasn't sure.

"If this follows their other patterns, it'll last for a week, give or take a couple of days."

Luke groaned. "Great! Just great. So I go from fighting one empire to dealing with another? Even if it is a lot smaller? There are some days when i wish I'd never even left Tatooine." He rubbed his face and smiled at her. "Sorry." He felt vaguely guilty for bursting at her like that.

He held his lips. "I'm sure few people will see... or want to see, all that much of what is on. I, ah, mostly kept flipping through until I shut it off. I'm hoping there's nothing with me in it."

He shivered.

"A week, huh. Well, I never had a holoviewer back home, so I wont miss it. I'll just work more on training."

"No worries," Lily said gently. "I imagine this is yet another week of us not being on our best behavior," she admitted with a slight smile.

"I hope there's nothing with you in it, either," she admitted softly. She hoped there wasn't anything with anyone else in it, but she'd seen names. She hadn't watched, but she'd seen them in the guide. "I ... also think there are enough people here that would want to watch us all be exploited. Not everyone here is ... respectful or courteous or remotely polite."

It disturbed her deeply to imagine some of the people here watching her ... with James and Sirius ... but it wasn't as though she could do anything about it. She simply hoped her son had the sense not to watch it, and she twitched a little at the thought.

He winced and glanced at her. "Some might watch for curiosity, not to exploit, but I get your meaning. This place just reminds me more and more of Moss Eisley, a place where villains and knaves gathered back home."

He smiled at her a little, then nodded.

"I'm definitely going to try to stay away from the television for awhile, just to make sure I don't see... well, anything else I don't want to see." There came that blush again, and a distinct memory of Lily, and the sound-- he cut off his memories and summoned every ounce of his concentration to concentrate on her eyes.

"Probably for the best. I'm thinking about arranging something ... away from the television for the children as well." Because if the condom debacle was any indication ... the children would need strict, constant supervision. Maybe she'd even go so far as to have some of the guys move the televisions out of the rooms for the duration of this particular bit of torture.

The more she thought about it, the better the idea seemed. Of course, the line was fuzzy with some of the older teenagers ... seventeen was of age in the magical world, after all, and what difference was a few months to match the standards of the States?

But Ariana and Lizzy didn't need to have their televisions in their rooms.

Lily shook out of her thoughts to offer Luke a smile. She was eager to shift the topic, so she did. "How ... are you settling in otherwise?" she inquired. Not that this was a place anyone wanted to settle into, but without an escape route ... well, that was the option, wasn't it?

"If I can be of help, let me know. I've always been good with kids." Which is true. His fellow farmers had always asked him to sit the kids because he translated his dreams of far away and long ago to stories well, and the kids loved him.

And he was eager for a purpose here.

He swallowed, and nodded. "Ah, well, okay? I'm not really sure what I am doing here. I'm just a beginning at what I'm learning, and not even sure what to do around here, other than meditate."

And take cold showers. Lots of those.

"Are you? We're looking for a more ... available person to watch over Ariana. Jaime's a bit ... distracted, at the moment, and Tyler doesn't feel comfortable. She ... ah. Ariana has a bit of a problem controlling her magic, so I'd feel more comfortable with someone who might ... be able to contain her magic if she had an accident. If you're willing, of course. She's a very sweet girl, from nearly a century before my time, so she's easily confused and frightened."

It seemed to her it would be a good fit. He wasn't sure what to do here, and it would help them out if they knew Ari was in good hands and being kept safe. Surely someone like Luke would be a better influence than ... someone like Lizzy.

He blinked, surprised to have someone take him seriously for once. "Well, I mean, sure." He smiled, warming to the idea. "If she's agreeable, I mean. I like kids and I'm not afraid of magic, so... I think it would be fun."

He nodded and bounced a bit.

Hie eyebrows were high, his grin wide, and he felt like this was really fantastic! Luke might just be a little enthusiasm prone. Maybe.

"How do I start?"

"I could talk to her about it, and then introduce the pair of you, see how you get along, and then ... see where it goes from there. I just ... worry she'll get into something she doesn't need to or ... ah. See something she really shouldn't."

Especially if Lizzy was nudging her around. She reasoned Luke might be visited by Lizzy a time or two if he started guarding Ariana, so she thought it best to warn him.

"She does have a younger friend. Lizzy is ... eight, I believe, and she's become fast friends with Ariana, and I don't think she's precisely the best influence for the girl. Though I imagine if you take on care of Ariana, Lizzy will be joining you more often than not."

He nodded. "Sounds like a good idea. And if Lizzy doesn't cause a problem that will be okay. A cousin of the kid I watched was like that, always causing trouble. She turned out okay, eventually, but her sister ran off, and had to be found... she never was."

He sighed, but then nodded. "I'll do my best to keep them both safe. And help them here. Half the time, I feel like I'm too young to be an adult myself."

"Join the club," Lily murmured. "A lot of us are ... too young to be forced to deal with this place, but ... there it is." She didn't think it was right for either Ariana or Lizzy to be here, but she clearly did not get to make the rules in this place.

If she did, none of them would be here, so she supposed that was a rather moot point.

"I do appreciate it," Lily admitted. "I do what I can, but I can't be there all the time."

He nodded and chuckled, waving a hand at her, admiring. "But you're like... you always seem so competent," So beautiful, "so in control," so thrilling, "so very put together," and so completely magnificent, "I never imagined you felt that way." He let out a breath as he forced his mind again away from images he shouldn't be thinking of.

He smiled a little. "What did you do before you came here?"

Because I have to be she thought, but she didn't give voice to it. She really wouldn't mind, sometimes, if people took over. When things were calm, it wasn't so bad, but when they were under attack, she was grateful she'd had other people to lean on and help guide things.

So instead, she smiled. "I was Head Girl at a school, and had to deal with some very obnoxious teenagers ... I suppose I just let those skills take over and ... do the best I can."

She smiled to his question, glad to be drifting away from the topic of ... well, everything else. "After I fnished school, I ... joined a vigilante group, working to defeat dark wizards. We ... we were in the middle of a war when I was pulled here. The Order was doing its best to fight against the rising dark army of Lord Voldemort," she continued softly.

"I wasn't on the front lines or anything like that, but I did a lot of behind the scenes things. Mostly with potions, but a bit with ... working on getting a job at the Ministry to help with the infiltration there. My blood status made me something of a target though, so it was trickier for me." She paused, and thought she should explain.

"In my world, witches and wizards are classified by ... their lineage. Purebloods are of course the highest class, and they ... make societal rules, I suppose. Halfbloods have one magical parent, and they're in the middle of the pack, and ... the largest group, I believe. I'm a Muggleborn, meaning neither of my parents was magical. So we ... were the ones the Purebloods were seeking to eradicate. My last couple of years of school weren't exactly a picnic," she admitted.

He nodded slowly. "I understand that. I don't think I ever had any preparation for this kind of thing, except, well, for right at the end."

He turned thoughtful. "I was sort of dropped into a situation with no training, and basically given a chance to stop something really bad. The only chance there was. Nobody asked me, and I just kind of... did it. Somehow, it worked out, but I still feel like I'm... I dunno, not the man they thought I was."

He smiled at her. "At least here, I'm just part of a team."

He nodded as she explained. "The group we were... well, we were fighting, is like that. They believe one group and one group alone is pure, and everyone else is just lesser."

"Sometimes things like that just happen," Lily agreed. "Trial by fire, or something of that sort. No one ever asks if you want to be a leader, or save the world, but sometimes, the dice just roll that way, and there it is," she murmured. "So you do the best you can and hope like hell it's enough."

She dropped her eyes for a moment. Saved the world. She had, hadn't she? It had cost her life, but she had. And then her son went and saved it again. It must be something in her blood. A soft smile edged her lips before she lifted her eyes again.

"Suppose it's a human nature thing. Like responds to like, and anything that''s different is wrong. Get enough of those sorts in power, and it's just ... a very vile situation. I imagine everyone here ... can relate to something like that."

Though that got her wondering. Did everyone have ... warring factions, either passive or active, in their own worlds?

he nodded, and smiled a little. "The dice just roll... huh, that's a good turn of phrase. We have a game named Sabbac where I come from, and it's a wild game of chance. From one moment to the next you can go from a winning hand to losing everything, and vice versa. I guess that really is like life."

He lapsed into thought for a few minutes, thinking about Ben, and about the Death Star, and the Princess. Weird how things kind of made sense, now.

He looked up as she spoke again.

"Well, I hope we can avoid that here. I'm tired of being told who I should like or not like. I know what i want!"

"I imagine everyone here is ... making their own decisions about those sorts of things," Lily agreed with a soft smile. "I'm certainly not dictating sides or anything of that sort," she assured him.

They were all thrust here together, with no particular ties to one another - for the most part - and forced to adapt, to survive. She was going to survive, and anyone else was welcome to come along with her.

With a soft sigh, Lily rose from the couch. "I think I should see about getting the tellys removed from the girls' rooms," she murmured. "But I'll talk to Ariana as soon as I see her, and let her know someone's offered to look after her." Smiling gently to Luke, she thanked him again for his offer before she made a gesture toward the stairs to indicate she was going to head out, unless he had something to add.

He nodded. "I know. I trust you." And he did.

He breathed and nodded as she spoke. "If you need any help, let me know, and then let me know what she said."

He grinned at her. "See you later, Lily." And he turned, thinking about a run, before the rest of his day.
