Rating:eh...R to be safe. Language, Criminal intent

Jasper had been having a shit first week of his seventh year. Not only had the entire school vilified him from day one, but apparently the Gryffindors had decided to take it upon themselves to see to the execution of justice. Having the heads of the school and Dumbledore himself on the sympathizer side of things, Jasper had little aides in his fight. So, he surrendered for the night. He forces shut his journal because he could no longer bear to watch that barbarian Flow Morrison tramp around everyone else's journal, especially those he cared about. He felt bad for having to bring his friends into it, if anything, he wanted to protect them. But there he was, bruised and battle-worn. And there she was, verbally attacking his friends. It was a lot to witness on top of everything, and he needed a break.

He thrust himself back onto his bed and stared up at the covering. The dorm was deserted and the anger inside him made him want to set fire to the entire dungeon. That was impractical, of course, so he refrained. He sat back up, slipped on his shoes, and made his way to the Slytherin common room. He liked staring out the windows at the aquatic life just beyond. They had no idea of the struggle he faced. But he realized that was the price he paid for being more intelligent and superior to fish. Being better than others meant things would be a little harder. But he was proud to bear that task.

He needed his friends. Ken was working on something down the way in a potions lab, but Francesca would soon be there to liven him up soon. Hopefully she'd want to go out to the grounds with Ken and him to burn off steam. He'd like having her around.

She had only been standing outside the door for a few moments before she heard footsteps approaching from behind. Looking over her shoulder, she smiled when she spotted Ken. His words were playful, or as playful as a Slytherin got, and the charm was not lost on Francesca. "Well I figured after the events of today that Jasper had earned himself some proper company. You know, the type that only someone with this much class could provide accurately," she answered smoothly with a wink. She might be confident, and she certainly believed those words, but she wasn't trying to come across as pompous. From her interactions with Ken so far it seemed like he'd appreciate the tease in return. Not to mention the confidence that went along with it.

Before she could say much more, Jasper opened the door and added his own joking to the conversation. Chess was glad to see he seemed in better spirits, and smiled as he stepped back to let them inside. "Why thank you, sir!" she said graciously, slipping by him and into the room. She waited for someone to indicate where she could sit before just taking a seat anywhere, instead turning as Jasper spoke again. "My day was fine until a certain mudblood ruined my good mood." Frowning a bit, Francesca shook her head a little. "But I'm sure that's nothing compared to your day. How are you doing?"

Ken did not realize just how eager he was to get out of his uniform and take some much needed relax time, even though it was an odd way to relax it worked for him. The company would be pleasant as well. If anybody needed to let off some steam it was Jasper so Ken was more then willing to help where he could. It was either that or they hunted down those whom had wronged his friend, and as fun as that would be it probably was not the best course of actions right now.

Taking those stairs quickly he had to definitely admit to himself that he was pleased to see Francesca, she was definitely a breath of fresh perspective among the barbarians around their school that passed for witches. Her teasing response was just one he was expecting and it made him smile as he moved closer. "Well he could not get any better company then." Before Ken could say anymore Jasper was opening the door and allowing them in. This was the first time Ken had seen the damage the mudblood had done face to face though he showed no sign of change in his face as he looked upon jasper. At least he seemed in higher spirits. Ken stepped in through the door Jasper held open and nodded before heading to his bed to set down his bag and pull off his robe to hang up properly. "Another day in paradise." Ken gave a gently smirk as the sarcasm was clear in his voice. "I must second Francesca's concern, how are you feeling?"

"Well, I certainly have had worse days I can think of. Yesterday being one of them."

Just recalling the events mage him seethe with rage and a slight of shame, but a need for vengeance trumped them all. As he thought this, his features noticeably fell and contorted to suit the mood. He did not want to let this affect his friends, so he talked before he could think of more angering memories.

"I would be less upset by the whole thing if I knew she was being punished. But it is very clear she isn't", he said with a sense of finality. He hated defeat, but it was so close now it was almost unavoidable. He lay back down on his bed and stared miserably. he patted next to him to indicate to Chess his invitation to sit by him. Then he added, "I wish she would get punished in a bigger way, not necessarily violently, but that would be nice too, but at the very least kicked out of clubs and Quidditch...". His voice trailed off. A thought struck him. He sat up,

"Ken, what was it you said this morning about Florence and her broom?"

Ken replied, "I'm not sure, probably something like wanting to knock her off it", adding in a slight laugh.

Then he asked all the occupants of the room, "What would you say if I could make that happen?"

"I agree with you on that point. It's obvious our so-called Head Girl isn't doing anything about the problem. Did you see how that mudblood had the nerve to lecture me for my journal?" Just thinking about Lily Evans and her reprimands made her blood boil. This whole situation was insufferable as it was, but then Chess had to be treated like a child and a bully when filthy barbarians were resorting to violence against her friends. "It's an outrage. She should be expelled THEN punished with force to boot," she added with a shake of her head.

It was obvious Jasper was still angry about the incident, which was understandable. Chess moved to the bed as he indicated she could sit, not missing the look on his face as he laid back down. Giving him a reassuring pat to the hand, she was opening her mouth to speak again when Jasper suddenly sat up. His words were intriguing, and she looked to Ken before returning her gaze to Jasper; expression full of interest.

"I would say that would be brilliant, and only part of what the mudblood deserves. But how can we pull it off?" Remembering what he'd said about invading another's mind, Francesca wondered if that was the route he was going here.

Ken had not missed Chess' journal post because of course he had commented on it. Seeing Evan's response to what Chess had wrote only boiled the anger up in him more, he could definitely understand were her anger was coming from. Compared to his friends he had come off easy because Flow at not attacked him. Ken knew it was only a matter of time, and he was waiting for the challenge to take her down. He knew Jasper and Francesca had put Flow in her place but there was only so much you could do with somebody as stubborn and stupid as she was. "Frankly I don't think Evans has done enough to punish her for what happened. She stated herself she feels no remorse for her actions." There was anger clear in ken's voice as he pulled off his robe and hung it up.

Pulling his tie out and untucking his shirt he loosened his tie and took the tie off as well. He was not about to get completely undressed in front of Chess but he could take off the exterior clothing that were bothering him. Once he was slightly more comfortable Ken settled on his bed and looked from Jasper to Chess; Jasper's question drawing his response from that morning over breakfast. Ken had spoke in jest though there was truth to the desire; hearing Jasper could make it happen caused him to sit up and glance to Chess and once more back to their friend. "I would say that would be blood brilliant."

"I have the perfect plan for our revenge, my friends", he said with a wicked grin and fire in his eyes. He got up and took a couple paces across the floor. He didn't want to interrupt his thought for fear the train would derail and he's be left with nothing. When it was complete, he turned back to them. His friends looked a little confused but very intrigued.

"I know how to do it!", he proclaimed with a sort of childish joy.

His friends replied with more or less the same confused interjections.

"Since the rules are being bent for a mudblood I don't see why they can't be broken for a pureblood. She loves Quidditch and she loves physical violence. So why don't we let her have it with her two favorite things?"

He wasn't sure if they were following or not, so he continued on.

"Gryffindor plays the first match this year against Ravenclaw. We'll get her then. What I'll do is at the Chess club meeting prior to the game, I'll place an Imperius Curse on Callum, their main beater. Once I've got him, I can look into his mind to see how I can get to Oscar, their other beater. Once I have them both, at some point during the game, in front of the whole school, I'll have the two of them rush to her and attack her. She claims she is a badarse, I'm just giving her the opportunity!". Again, he smiled like he had just learned it was his birthday.

Francesca seemed less enthused, "Won't you get caught?", she asked, with a note of concern. Ken seemed to be on track with her.

"The great thing about it is that I can't get caught. They won't know for sure who cast it, victims never do. And to be extra sure, I'll cast a bunch of harmless spells after to cloud the Prior Incantatem, if it ever got to that. What do you think?"

Chess watched with interest as her friend got to his feet and began to pace. It was obvious that Jasper was excited by whatever this idea was. As he began to speak, she listened, nodding every few seconds as the plan unfolded itself slowly. The big reveal caught her off guard for a second, and her eyes flicked to Ken before returning to the other boy with obvious wariness. Francesca was all about giving the filthy mudblood a taste of her own medicine, but she wasn't as familiar with the Imperius curse as Jasper seemed to be.

After voicing her concern for his culpability, the explanation seemed more than fitting. A smile bloomed on her face slowly, looking almost devilish, as she nodded. "I think it's brilliant. A way to show her what happens without getting punished? Genius," she mused with the smirk still in place. "Especially since she received basically no reprimand for doing the same to you. It's only right you get the same in return," she added with a sage nod.

Looking to Ken, she watched to see what his two cents was in all of this. Chess mainly relied on guys like Jasper and Ken to do the dirty work in her own schemes, and she wasn't sure who would be casting the curse here. "Would you be the one to cast it? How would you get Callum alone?" She could provide a distraction if necessary, though she wasn't sure if Jasper needed that kind of thing.

Jasper definitely had both of their interests as he spoke, it was clear just looking in to his eyes that there was a plan already clearly started out in his brain. That fact did not surprise him one bit, he would have been plotting already on how to get Flow for what she had done. Just reading her comments made it clear that there was not a shred of remorse in the girl. She obviously did not get enough punishment, which meant somebody else had to do it. Evan's was too soft, that did not surprise Ken. She was a mudblood after all.

Ken had been joking that morning because he knew shoving Flow off of her broom would definitely yield punishment for the pusher; Ken was the one whom usually voice the revenge with a certain amount of discretion. His reaction was much like Francesca's, wary with concern but a smile finally blossomed on his face as Jasper's plan was laid out on the table. "That's brilliant Jasper. Let the Ravenclaws take blame for it, though that sodding bint of a Gryffindor deserves a hell of a lot more then that."

He answered Chess' question and explained, "I'll try and guess my opponent's moves before hand with my mind-thing to make sure I play Callum in the finals round at the next Chess tournament and hex him from under the table, or something, or while walking out of class. It'll happen, and then I'll levitate and put down everything in sight. It is going to work!".

He was so glad he had his friend's strong support. It was times like these that assured he wasn't crazy, moments that justified his opinions so devoutly.

"Excellent! Now, to wait"

He paused, then added,

"And while we wait, why don't we let off our steam and excitement over the lake? I'm about to explode with energy!"

"That seems like a foolproof plan if ever I've heard one," she mused with a smirk. Seeing Jasper this fired up was good. It meant that filthy creature wasn't as successful at breaking down superiority as she might think. Just imaging the look on Florence's face as the seemingly innocent Ravenclaw beaters turned on her caused a soft chuckle to escape her lips. Before she could voice that amusing thought, though, Jasper was going on about letting off steam.

Raising an eyebrow, she smiled as her gaze flitted to Ken before returning to their charged companion. "That sounds like a brilliant idea. I'm not really keen on the idea of just returning to my room either." Francesca had no idea what the boys might have in store here, but she was willing to go along. Even if "over the lake" sounded ominous and intriguing all at once.

"What did you want to do out there?" she asked, more out of curiosity than anything else.

Ken had to admit he was impressed with the level of thought which jasper had put in to getting revenge on Flow; then again he was not surprised because his friend was definitely a smart one. Jasper's plan if done right would not lead back to him in any way. Not to mention they would stir up a bunch of trouble for Ravenclaw. Ken didn't outright hate anybody in Raveclaw (yet) but anything that took the attention away from Slytherin was good in his book. For once he was looking forward to Quidditch to start up. Still in his school uniform Ken continued to lounge on his bed as he looked from Jasper to Chess with a smirk on his lips.

"I have to say that is pretty damn brilliant Jasper, for once I am looking forward for Quidditch to start up." It was good to see that Jasper had bounced back so easily after the attack though he knew that the mudblood Morrison couldn't destroy Jasper's pride. Sitting up a bit more Ken glanced to Chess and smiled a bit more in response to Jasper's energy. "What is it you have planned for this excursion outside? Anything in particular?"

Jasper way beyond elated. His friends agreed that his plan was necessary, efficient, and well planned, AND he was satisfied with himself that he had thought up a satisfactory revenge. He looked at them both with joy and desire. If he had it his way, he would remain much like this for his life: surrounded by friends that he could trust completely and share his life. Rather than become over-emotional and wimpy, he haughtily laughed and asked his friends,

"Well, I was imagining to show our gratitude and thanks for magic, why don't we give some of it back, over the lake? Like skipping stones, but ultimately better."

He added a devilish smile. He loved getting his way and he loved being right.
