Who: Knox and Flow
What: First date! It's rainbow time!
Where: Starts off at the Astronomy Tower
When: Around 5:00 AM Sunday Morning
Status: In Progress
Rating: PG/PG-13? SFW, I'd say.

He wasn't nervous. Really.

Fidgety, maybe, but not nervous. Knox had gone to bed last night, and while he'd fallen asleep just fine he found himself awake long before he had to be. That was when he started feeling a bit restless. After a while he'd given up on sleep, gotten dressed and headed over to the Astronomy Tower, where he was meeting Flow, early. It wasn't that he didn't think their plan would work, or that it was worth it, because he knew it would work and it was worth it; this was something he was definitely looking forward to. The thing was, Knox actually liked Flow, and he hadn't really cared all that much when it came to another person for a while. He didn't get swept up like this too often.

This was a prank, but it was also date. Their first date, and Knox wanted to do it right.

He was in his uniform, shirt sleeves rolled up about halfway up his forearms, sitting by a window. The scarf Flow had given him was loosely hanging around his neck. There was a cigarette hanging from his mouth, glowing orange at the end and occasionally dropping bits of ash; one hand was tracing shapes in the fog on the window, allowing him to get a better look outside. The bright, white snow was still covering the grounds despite the disturbance from the snowball fight. Knox smiled at the thought, imagining how it would look next to the castle's new colors. Then he imagined everyone's faces at what they were going to do, and some of the anxiousness disappeared.

This was going to be awesome.

"I could use the change of pace, I think." Knox replied with a smile, before pausing and frowning. "Wait, so you won't be serving me breakfast in bed?" After a second he laughed, picking up pace again and shaking his head. "I've always been interested in muggle life, just never had the chance to get much more than a secondhand perspective. I'll be interested to talk to him too. And we kind of are magic weirdos, at least by comparison I'm sure."

Following Flow down the stairs, Knox checked his watch. "Alright, then why not just get started here? I doubt the spell will spread too fast, so we might still be able to watch ourselves turn colors."

"Right, then." Flow grinned, pulling her wand out, and twirled it between her fingers. "If nothing else, I can watch you turn colours. On the count of three, then.... One, two..."

She pointed her wand directly at him, still grinning widely. This - once she was away from any intimation of, well, intimacy - this was fun. Just messing about with someone she could have a laugh with.

"Three!" she said, almost triumphantly, and started the spell.

As soon as Flow grinned and went for her wand, Knox's hand instantly reached for his own. If she was turning him, he was definitely going to turn her too. He watched in amusement, and the second Flow said three, he started the spell himself.

It was instantaneous and felt like a thousand raindrops of color hitting him at once. One hand started turning yellow while his other turned blue, and he watched as Flow turned into a bunch of different colors herself, grinning the whole time. This was going to be a great day.

"Well," He started laughing. "It works."
