Entry tags:!incomplete, bonnie quinn, hannah robinson

WHO: Hannah and Bonnie
WHEN: October 22, Afternoon; Lunch
WHERE: Outside in the courtyard!
WHAT: BFF time. Hannah talking about her idea. Etc.
RATING: SFW.

The morning's classes couldn't have taken longer if someone had used a time turner to rewind and repeat. Hannah was practically nodding off by the time her last rolled around, and the only thing keeping her going was the rumbling of her stomach. She had plans to grab her lunch and eat outside with Bonnie, which was her one and only beacon of sanity amongst the boredom she was suffering. Admittedly, she wasn't usually so distracted. Today was different because Hannah was waiting to hear back about whether her idea was approved or not. She was confident in Lily's assessment of the plan, but ultimately their headmaster had to sign off on it. There were probably a lot of people around the castle who might protest such an idea, but Hannah figured they'd change their minds when the idea of competition and charity were thrown in. And for those who weren't so noble of heart, there was always the option of an afternoon free of classes.

Even without the final go-ahead, Hannah's mind was racing with plans and ideas. She found herself scribbling a few notes during the last few minutes of her class before lunch, and the bell served to startle her as she realized she was free. Jumping up, she collected her things and immediately headed off to meet Bonnie. After grabbing some food and dumping her morning books off, Hannah headed out to the courtyard where she was to meet her friend; hoping she wasn't running behind because of her pit stop.

Their antics were definitely making Hannah laugh, as usual. This was exactly what she had needed after a slow morning of classes that felt as if they were sucking away her soul. Bonnie played along perfectly, and a few looks were cast their way as the two girls giggled and carried on while trying to eat at the same time. "I could never do that to you. I'm already unworthy of your friendship, I don't want to remind you of how much if I can help it." Winking, she couldn't help but shake her head and laugh some more before turning to her food with equal enthusiasm.

Hannah was typically a cheery person, but she wasn't so over the top that it was exhausting. She had her moments where she became animated, however, and as she answered Bonnie's question proved to be one of them. The bouncing was almost subconscious as she launched into the explanation, and Hannah couldn't seem to control herself the longer she spoke. Just thinking about it made her giddy and she was on pins and needles to hear back from Lily about the meeting

"Thanks! I don't know where it came from either. Just popped into my head as I was working on my matchmaking list." It wasn't really a surprise, though. Bonnie knew her penchant for love and relationships, and a date auction went right along with her matchmaking tendencies. "I'll definitely need a lot of help. And you bet you'll be going up for auction. I'll tie you up and drag you if I have to," she said after swallowing a bite of food. Her spoon was pointed at her friend, but Hannah's attempt at threatening just looked adorable. Moving back to her lunch, she ate a little more as Bonnie spoke, the tone in her voice surrounding 'house-unity' a familiar one. "I hope you're right, though I'm sure a lot of students might not like Lily's restriction of only bidding outside your house." Hannah didn't expect Slytherin would get many bids in that case, but one could never be sure.

Bonnie gasped exaggeratedly as a hand flew up animatedly in the air. "Unworthy? Hannah Robinson, you are definitely not unworthy. Maybe a little tiresome at times," she paused and winked at her best friend before continuing. "And, sometimes it's terribly hard to put up with your ridiculous antics, but, I think it's safe to say that you're quite worthy," she finished, a hint of amusement in her voice. Of course, she was joking about everything she had said. It was rather perfect, actually. Hannah being her best friend, that is. They got each other, and their antics always proved to be amusing. The people around them seemed to think so, anyway. Or maybe they thought they were strange, however, whatever they thought didn't matter, because Hannah put up with her animated and lively manner. And, Hannah was one of the few people that pulled her out of her slump after her father disappeared.

Bonnie nodded along, and grinned at the mention of Hannah's matchmaking list. It was something about Hannah that she loved. No matter how much bullshit went on in the world, her best mate still believed in love. It was rather inspiring, actually. She put a another serving off food into her mouth before she shot Hannah a look. The idea of being up for auction was terribly irksome, especially if some snot nosed third year won her. Swallowing her food down quickly, she shook her head fiercely. "If you put me up for auction, I'll make sure you're in no state to even plan it," she warned playfully. Sure, she didn't really want to be put up for auction, but she'd go along with it if she had to. At the mention of the Lily's restriction, she shrugged. "They probably won't," she noted, pursuing her lips. "But hopefully, people will use their brains and realise this is a chance to spend time with people that aren't in their house. I mean, I eat, sleep, and breathe Ravenclaw, and I love my housemates, but that doesn't mean I'm not intrigued at the idea of spending time with people that I don't normally get the chance too. And, I don't think I'd be the only one," she finished.

"That's true. I'm incredibly brilliant, after all," she mused, returning the wink in kind. Hannah couldn't help but laugh as they teased each other, which was just their way. She couldn't think of a better friend than Bonnie. The other girl definitely got her in a way nobody else did, and was often an anchor when Hannah's head got away from her a bit. She needed someone smart and down-to-earth to balance her, but the two always managed to have a lot more fun than some might expect. Bonnie was not the typical Ravenclaw, though she certainly had the brains. It was a nice way to accentuate all the charm they oozed between them.

At the mention of volunteering her best friend against her will, Hannah's blue eyes widened in false innocence. "Would I do something as cruel as auctioning my best mate against her will?!" she gasped, placing a hand on her chest and looking offended at the entire idea. Of course, that was exactly something she would do, and they both knew it. Smirking devilishly, she ate a bit more of her lunch while trying to pretend that innocence was genuine. "You couldn't hurt me anyway. Even if I were, in an unlikely scenario, to do that." She was confident in that statement, too. Bonnie would come to see how brilliant this idea was and she would eventually give in. Hannah was pretty persuasive, after all.

"I'm hoping that's the case too. I know not everyone is for intermingling, but we could definitely use it around here. There's been so much conflict lately," she observed, shaking her head sadly as she took another bite thoughtfully.
