Katie sat quietly on her bed at St. Mungo's. She tried not to think about where she was and what they'd be doing. Poking holes and all that awful mess. She'd already had one panic attack and that was just- well, embarassing in front of Adrian. This potion was supposed to help and make things better. They'd already determined that Adrian was a match and the relief that had coursed through her had been immense. It'd been terrifying, waiting. But, well, her brother was a match and that was all there was to it. The fact that he was even doing this was really just beyond her. She was surprised that he'd even showed up and she really wanted to thank him but they hadn't said one word to one another. Adrian looked pale, though and she had a feeling he hated hospitals as much as she did. Though, she was really curious as to the why, Katie had managed to keep her mouth shut and not say anything. It seemed like every time that she did, well, things just got that much worse. So, with her last round of calming draughts running out of juice, she was trying not to throw up. All she could do was just lie there and hope this potion would help with the intense banging in her head and the other side effects that seemed to be consuming her lately. Especially the exhaustion.
Sighing, Katie clenched at the covers as a particularly sharp pain through her head. If she kept her eyes closed, well, it wasn't so bad. Glancing over at Adrian, Katie bit her lip, worrying it. She opened her mouth to thank him but quickly closed it. It didn't really seem like there was much used talking to him. He didn't want to be here and she didn't really know why he was. It's not like he recognized her. Closing her eyes, letting her head loll to the side, she gave a rueful smile to the Assistant Healer who administered her new potion, watching it drip down the tube and into her arm. The calming draught was really amazing. She really did love the relaxed feeling that floated through her.
Once her inhibitions were dropped just a little, Katie turned and looked at Adrian. They favored one another. It was strange to look at him and see the similarities. They had the same coloring and they were both very tall. And while his eyes were a dark brown, hers favored a more hazel look. Still, she could see some of the features on him and in herself. The muted Pucey blood. "Thanks," she said, playing with the ends of the bed covers. "I really appreciate it..."
