Who: Drew and Alicia
When: Thursday Night
Where: Drew's Place, Chinatown
What: Action Movies and Chinese.

Exhausted was a nice word to describe his day. He'd had to actually go into the office that morning for a debriefing on the case and that had been far more frustrating than he had hoped for. It appeared that some of the senior Aurors thought the same way Geoff did. More importantly, he'd had to explain just when he was going to be bringing Mandy to the Ministry. Ha hadn't told Mandy about the questioning yet. He was kind of dreading it, if he was honest with himself. They'd had a nice night, the other evening. It had been normal for once. Just the two of them, her bed, and a couple of action movies. He hadn't wanted to ruin that. Normally, he wouldn't have minded, but Geoff was so worked up on Drew repeating his own mistakes that she was guilty until proven innocent. With the arrival of Geoff's Ex, he was sure the situation was only going to get worse.

Tonight, however, was a very different sort of movie night. It had been a while since he'd had the chance to hang out with Ali and tonight, of all nights, was perfect for it. Mandy was usually busy this time of the week as she somehow managed to get all of her orders completed, which left him rather bored. When one person was both the pleasure and the business it left you with a whole lot more time on your hands. In his case, he chose to fill that time with his "other best friend". He and Drew were thick as thieves, always had been, but outside of Drew Ali was it. Seriously, how many people were not only friends but had break up presents that they never took off?

Having thrown in their first of two movies, Drew left the case on the coffee table and headed to the kitchen to begin setting up their snacks as he waited for Ali to show; a variety of their favourite Chinese dishes, three different kinds of crisps, some cold ale, and some dip.

When the previews ended, he hit play and offered her a shrug. "Haven't really seen much of Geoff. He spends most of his time working the data while I keep my eye on Mandy and the activity at he Apothecary," he admitted, not really bothered with leaking some of the information to Ali. He knew he could trust her and it wasn't like she was going to be targeted. Even if she was, they'd have a rough time getting anything out of her. "He's a bit sore over the whole 'sleeping with the enemey' thing." There was little Drew could do about that. All he could do was trust his instincts and his instincts told him to trust Mandy.

"Mandy is ... safe for the moment, I guess that's something," he responded dryly. His life was far too complicated. He was constantly worrying about either Geoff or Mandy and it was starting to wear on him. "I think we'll all just be glad when this case is closed." Of course, the whole end of the case was only causing more stress for him. He'd promised Mandy he'd make sure she didn't go to Azkaban and so far all he'd mananged to do was make it look more and more like she was guilty.

"Speaking of Quidditch," he continued, changing the subject, "do make sure you kick some serious arse in your next game. I've got a good chunk of money set on you lot."
