WHO: Brannon O'Brien, Rodeo Williams, and (later) Charlie West
WHAT: An apology.
WHERE: Madison Square Garden
WHEN: February 15, 2019
RATING: Medium
STATUS: In Progress
Rodeo was a man prone to far too much introspection. One would think, upon first knowing him, that he wasn't a very thoughtful kind of guy, but that wasn't the case. He thought about everything. His mind hardly rested, and there was very little that he did or said that he didn't think over at some point. The problem was that there was a lot of things he did that he only stopped to think over after the fact. In retrospect, while writing in his journal or anguishing over a bottle of whiskey, it was all pretty damn clear to him. He analyzed his every action, his every word, and drowned himself in his regret.
It would have been easy to assume that he'd hold a grudge against O'Brien, but that wasn't the case. Rodeo's only grudge was against himself. Instead, he'd been plagued by guilt over the things he'd said to the man who was honestly trying to look out for Charlie-- something Rodeo had to respect, no matter what it had cost him. He truly had no intention of harming O'Brien during their meeting-- only talk to him. Unlike the first time, he didn't bring an extra gun or come strapped for a fight. He had only Janie for the trip there, and he tucked her away before he entered the safehouse. He headed into the area where O'Brien had told him to meet him, and he waited. He'd let the other man come to him, repentant enough to not mind giving O'Brien the upper hand of deciding when and how to approach him.
