|The weather was nice and there wasn’t really a cloud in the sky, which made April happy, mostly because she had plans to drag DJ up to the roof and stargaze, or maybe not so much drag as ask him nicely to join her. She didn’t think he would decline though, since he had been staying with her for a couple days now. Which was something that she enjoyed, even if she realized after the fact that Rae might have been joking about her asking him to stay with her. |
Joke or not, April was glad she had done it. She liked having DJ around this much, liked seeing him on a daily basis and also liked that she didn’t worry about him as much when they were spending this much time together. Granted it wasn’t in her nature to worry all that much, she found she did worry about DJ – though she tried not to let him notice that.
She wasn’t entirely sure she was doing that great of a job of it, though. Since she knew DJ wasn’t stupid and she was maybe asking him how he was doing more so than she should. Right now though, she wasn’t worrying, no, she was planning.
A picnic and stargazing was her plan. April was taking a page out of Rae’s book, because this seemed like something her cousin would do for someone. Now that the plan was formed, she kind of figured it was about time she fill DJ in on it, or ask him if he’d even like to do it.
Glancing up from her place at the small table where she had been outlining picnic food ideas, April smiled softly as she spoke up to get DJ’s attention. “So…” she began. “What do you think of a picnic and stargazing?” April thought she sounded a little awkward in asking that, but that didn't really matter since he never seemed to judge her for things like that, or anything really.
