Etc: Naruto suddenly came up, kicked me, and said “I’m the main character, you dumb bitch. Write about me!” Since he had ideas prepared, I wasn’t about to complain. Part of that same real world AU as Run with the Wind, so I'm lumping them together. The title is kinda random because I was out of ideas.
Naruto stared at his feet. He was sick of being passed around like a fruitcake—nobody wanted him but were too “nice” to say as much. Yet another foster home, yet another family that would get sick of him. Since he knew nobody would keep him he made a point to get passed along as quickly as possible. His practical jokes were getting pretty damn good if he did say so himself.
He knew this man was different. He was single and childless, which was a major anomaly for foster parents, but Naruto liked it because he could focus on one target. He was also a teacher and had been an orphan himself, but that probably meant he’d be a total pushover.
The apartment was mildly messy, sparsely decorated, and asking for finger paint on the walls. Naruto made plans as his caseworker talked to his new host. There was a pond nearby, maybe it had frogs…
Umino Iruka had a scar across his face and usually long hair for a guy. He seemed nice enough, but Naruto knew it’d never last even if he did like ramen. The second night, he short-sheeted Iruka’s bed and added a frog. Much to his disappointment, Iruka said nothing.
The next day, Naruto went to bed to find three frogs in his bed and no sheets at all. He had to admit he was grudgingly impressed.
Maybe this guy really would be different.
