Allo all. I'm sorry this is a day late in going up. Apparently holiday weekends are non-existant when it comes to law school. AKA, your friendly neighbourhood mod was swamped with a good 100+ pages plus briefs to turn in today. So, that out of the way, onto the reveals!
I'm thrilled with the art and fics we received this year and I hope you all had as much fun reading and viewing them as I did! Right now, I'm honestly not sure if I'm going to be able to run another year of ![[info]](https://www.insanejournal.com/img/community.gif) hp_summersmut -- but have no fear, I will let you guys know as soon as I do.
To My Pinch Hitters: Thank you, thank you, thank you. You are all amazing and deserve special kudos for stepping up and lending a hand. So, to ![[info]](https://www.insanejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) nolagal, tripperfunster, themadmermaid, ltgarrix and queenb23more you have my gratitude. I have one other pinch hitter who gets a special thank you. Not only did she participate in the fest itself but she also helped out with TWO fics -- one of which I gave to her at the proverbial 11th hour. dark_branwen, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

| Assignments Out! |

Hey all! All assignments have been sent out and I didn't get any errors, so they should all be in your inboxes. As requested, please reply to the email so I know you've received your assignment.
I apologise for the delay, but I had a couple of unavoidable RL things crop up last weekend and this week. As a result, the due dates have changed. For all first time participants, the due date is now 22 June 2009 for all first time participants and 7 July for all previous participants.

Good morning all!
As promised, here are the sign-ups. As a reminder, please make sure you've read through the rules before signing up. As I mentioned last night a few things have changed this year so be aware of the changes.
PLEASE NOTE! If you dropped out of a previous round without any notice, you are not eligible to participate. If, however, you dropped out in a timely-fashion, you're welcome to come play. And if you're wondering if you're able to participate, just ask!
All fields [unless marked optional] are required. Please don't give me an @livejournal or @insanejournal email address. If you realise you forgot something, feel free to edit your comment [if a paid user] or delete and repost the comment up until the close of sign-ups. Also, if you're asking for art -- make sure you do have artist friendly prompts.

Sign-up Begin 7 April
Over the course of the next couple of days, I'll repost updated rules and the sign-up template just in case you want to start those creative juices a'flowin. I know that, traditionally, hp_summersmut sign-ups begin today but I wanted to do a bit of an overhaul of a few things. Nothing major so don't worry! I just want to make sure that you guys get the smoothest fest possible! ♥

Well -- at last -- what you have all been waiting for: the master list of all works. I wanted to give everyone a few extra days to enjoy the works with the anonymous bit still attached but now that the weekend is here, we present the master list.
I'm thrilled with the turnout of this year's fest and definitely look forward to another successful run next year. (yes, I can promise you that there will be another running of hp_summersmut next summer!) And for the one amusing statistic (because I'm a dork and have been sniggering about this all day) we had 69 works posted. XD
First of all, I'd like to give a few thank you's, particularly to my pinch hitters! To ponderosa121, tripperfunster, bewarethesmirk, twilightsorcery, attilatehbun, lady_caetlyn, and emiime -- thank you from the bottom of my heart for stepping up and offering your services as pinch hitters. I certainly could not have done this without you. Thank you, thank you, thank you! ♥

Participants, now that the list is up, you are free to repost your sumissions wherever you'd like. :o)
On that note, artists, please add your signature and upload the file to your own site. Similarly, all authors I'm currently hosting whose fics were longer than could be posted on LJ/IJ, please send me a link as to where you've uploaded your fic -- and the same goes for artists as well. As soon as I get the links, I'll edit the posts to reflect where they can now be accessed. Thanks!
Also, please do not forget to thank who wrote or created art for you. They worked long and hard on their submissions, and while I cannot force you to comment, it is a huge disappointment to whoever wrote and drew for you to not get a round of applause. [and before you ask, yes, I know who hasn't this time around.]
One final thank you goes out to rose_whispers who stepped in at the last minute to post the final few days for me as I was going to be out of town unexpectedly.
Thank you everyone, participants, watchers, and my gals who are there for moral support alike. The fest is here for you because of you and I'm glad everyone enjoyed this go around! ♥ ♥

Hey all!
Posting is definitely underway so if you've missed anything over the past few days, make sure you go and take a gander! We have some great works already posted and more wonderful ones to come! Please, don't forget to leave a comment for our mystery authors and artists. They worked very hard to create these fabulous works, so please give them some love!
And a note about art: all art is being hosted on InsaneJournal. The LJ community will still post, but the cut tags are links to the art on IJ. If you don't have an IJ, never fear -- the posts will not be locked. (And, frankly, nor will anything over here this time around).

Here we are, June 30th. To those of you who have sent in your works, thank you! Those of you with extensions, thank you for letting me know you needed additional time.
There are still a fair number of you who I haven't heard from. If you need more time, please let me know. I'm alright with handing out extensions if you're in a pinch. I do these fests and I know how things sneak up on you at the last minute. I'd rather hear from you now, then have to chase you down. The mod stick is something I don't want to pull out.
If you need an extension, either send an email to summersmutmod@gmail.com or drop me a line here. If you have sent something to me and you haven't heard back (I just caught up with everything this morning) chances are it never made it to me. Gmail can occasionally be rather screwy. Comments will be screened.
Otherwise, I'm hoping to have my inbox bursting at the seams tonight with fics and artses. |

Hey all! Couple of posts today, first for the format of things when you send them in. Please attach the following header to all fics/arts submitted.

When it comes to artwork, I will be hosting your work for you, so everything is uniform. Same is true with fics that are over 10,000 words in length (which is a change from last year, I know). Once the fest is over, I'll ask that you upload the pictures to your own server, same goes for the fic and the posts will be edited as such.
Fics: can be returned to me in .txt, .doc, .rtf or .odt file extensions. I'm a crazy woman who uses Linux, so I can open tons of things. The only HTML that should be in your fic is that to show italics, bold, or any other text formatting you wish. Otherwise, I'll take care of the rest.
Art: can be returned to me in .png or .jpg file extensions. Unless you're doing something out of the ordinary, or course!
Everything should be submitted to summersmutmod@gmail.com.
This weekend, I will be putting up a post for pinch hitters. If you replied to the assignment post, I do have you down and on my list. :o) |

Just a quick note as I saw the question posed on my flist regarding participants who are IJ-centric only. If you've transferred over to IJ permanently, you are still MORE than welcome to sign up. Fic and art will be posted both places just as it has been in the past. I needed to keep the sign-ups in one place so I didn't go crazy or end up with repeat sign-ups.
If you don't even want to log into your LJ to comment, I know I've left anonymous posting on -- just fill out the form and mention that it's your IJ name. I've edited the form to show that you IJ-folks are a-okay by me!

It seems strange to post the opening of a fest on a day filled with such tragedy. I think it's only fitting that the fest this year will be dedicated to the memory of anjenue. ♥
