Credit JULY 31, 1978. A new batch of interns has moved into the flats that will be their homes for the next year. August brings the first day of these graduates’ internships. The results of Lord Voldemort’s presence can be felt everywhere, from the mysterious seclusion of some classmates post-graduation, to the slew of fervent elopements that erupted in its wake. Outside the secure walls of Hogwarts, the disappearances of Daily Prophet reporters, inexplicable deaths of Ministry of Magic employees, and the growing St. Mungo’s psych ward are becoming a bit more real. The class of '78 doesn’t live in a safe haven anymore. Meals aren’t served promptly, laundry isn’t folded and returned to wardrobes, and no one is checking to see if everyone gets home safely. This is the first time that most of these graduates will live on their own, and they couldn’t be more vulnerable. Not all of Lord Voldemort’s newly-devoted followers have cut off contact from their old friends. Some have been assigned a more important mission: infiltration. Opened July 15 post comment

Our focus is on characterisation and realism and the game gives you the opportunity to find out what happened to your character after Voldemort died and the war ended. The game is 75% player modded which means that we review applications, make plot decisions, brainstorm, and generally run the game as a group. Because we're player modded everyone has an opportunity to contribute to game wide plots as well as developing their own characters. [08 Aug 2010|02:50pm] You open your eyes to darkness. The air smells stale and confined. Lifting a hand, you feel glass, smooth and curved. Instinctively, your heart beats faster. A tentative push and it rises away from you, swinging to the side. Light filters in through windows above. You blink, your eyes adjusting to the shadowed room as you try to remember what happened. A thin layer of dust covers everything. There are no panes of glass in the windows. The virus. You remember now. They told you stasis was a precaution. Only a few weeks. A month, at best. Let them get the virus under control. Standing beside your pod, legs shaking from disuse, you feel a sense of apprehension creeping over you. Your heart beats even faster now. A table nearby has a pile of scrolls on it and, with a sense of foreboding, you cross to find the one with your initials on it. ~~~ The year is 2100. ~~~ Waking Pandora is an AU, post-apocalyptic Harry Potter RPG based partially on the History Channel series Life after People.
