Who: Hunter & Max & open to anyone else trekking to the falls!
When: Late afternoon on Tuesday, June 4th.
Where: Dominica, near Trafalgar Falls.
What: Hunter exploring the rainforest, running into.. somebody.
Warnings: TBA.
Last time that they had docked in Dominica, Hunter had opted to spend most of her shore leave with the whale watching.. which had turned out to be pretty boring. This time, she'd been almost sold on the idea of sea-kayaking, but it just wasn't as fun on her own. It would have been funny to try to talk O'Brien into a sea-kayak, even her uncle, but she was saving up asking Archer for anything too crazy until she found an attraction she really liked. She was hoping a future port might have hang-gliding or something. Earlier that morning, Mack had gone off somewhere on her own, and she hadn't seen the shorter blonde in hours, and so eventually when her off time came Hunter just ventured onto shore herself as well.
Hiking for a few hours, that was what she decided to do in the end. Nothing too extreme, she'd gotten all the little tourist guides about the parks and trails and decided what direction to take, picking something to her skill level. Most of the hiking trails recommended guides, but she was confident enough in herself to skip that step. Suited up and ready for a few hours on land, the blonde set out for Trafalgar Falls with her, reminding herself that the left side wasn't accessible or steady or whatever the guide book had said. Avoid it, either way.
She'd been walking for a while though, and she hadn't reached the falls yet. She was pretty certain that she was going in the correct direction, so she had to be close.. but she definitely couldn't hear any running water. Brow furrowed, the blonde sat upon a nearby rock, taking a moment of rest and rooting around in her bag for another one of the water bottles that she had in her cooler pack.
Finally freeing a bottle, already wet with condensation, she turned just in time to hear the sound of footsteps approaching from the way she had just come through. Well, maybe that was a sign she was going in the right direction. Maybe whoever it was, maybe even a group, might want to team up, hike together. Maybe they had some damn Mio or something to spice her bland water up. She waited patiently, perched on the rock, to see what other kind of people were out hiking today.
