Do you have what it takes to survive in The Triangle?

As long as mankind has been traveling the seas, inexplicable events have occurred. Among the most notorious are random, mysterious disappearances and equipment malfunctions inside a triangular area between Bermuda, Puerto Rico, and the tip of Florida. No one knows what causes these malfunctions, or what happens to people who've disappeared. But you're about to find out.
Your trip starts out normally. Calm seas, clear skies, perfect weather, nothing abnormal at all. As your craft enters the Bermuda Triangle, however, you hear an odd humming sound, that grows in intensity. Soon after, you black out, waking up some time later on a cot in a shack, unattended.
Upon exploration, you find yourself on a beach, dotted with crude huts, inhabited by others who've been dumped here. No one knows what happened, except that the Curse of the Bermuda Triangle claimed them as a victim.
No one is immune. Doctors, lawyers, university students in all fields of study, models, actors, singers... the famous, the infamous, and the unknown. All have been plucked from their lives and left on this mysterious island.
If that wasn't enough, odd things happen periodically. Earthquakes shake the ground--and peoples' nerves; mountains form and crumble virtually overnight; violent storms send waves crashing against the coast. And occasionally, people disappear. They don't seem to have died--at least, no body is ever recovered. They simply vanish.

The Triangle is a new, multifandom, thread-based, dark, supernatural game on InsaneJournal. There are only a couple restrictions on characters (no cartoon or anime characters); original characters and celebrity characters are welcome.

Holds Application Cast FAQ Everything Else!
In 2023, the first Wizard University was opened in Ipswich, England. Offering an alternative to traditional internships, the school was a welcome relief to places such as St Mungos and Professional Quidditch Teams, where applicants far exceeded the vacancies. Two years later the school is thriving with nine offered subjects, co-ed fraternities, street games, and Quidditch tournaments. Gossip and rumours, pranks, and day-to-day mishaps make college life anything but boring. Just mind the occasional streaker.
WMU is a next generation Harry Potter game set at university. With a focus on character development, good storylines, and both friendships and relationships between characters, we’ve gone back to basics that make role play fun. We encourage good writing, journaling, threading, and our players to simply relax and have fun.

Almost 20 years ago the world made a last ditch effort to curb the disastrous effects of global warming. This move to protect the world also doomed it to an inevitable end; it has been over 19 years since a child has been born. The world as a whole had resigned itself to this bleak future until now, the year 2051.
It was a group of scientists in Beijing, China who discovered the cure. They called it Hòu Rén (后人) or 'Posterity'. Hòu Rén is a serum, a cure that reverses the sterilization but only in people below the age of forty. In an attempt to not only capitalize on the joyous reaction from the public but to insure that the population will grow in the 'right' direction, the Hòu Rén community has been established. As China was the place where the cure was discovered, it was selected as the place for the first Hòu Rén community.
Scientists have created a database of DNA samples, looking for key genes that will create an 'ideal baby' and the people with these 'perfect' genes are contacted and urged to join the community. It is advertised as being on a strictly voluntary basis with a substantial monetary incentive. People between the ages of 21-39 from all over the world will enter the Hòu Rén community to be paired up with their perfect genetic partner.
The Hòu Rén Community is for the betterment of our world. Who will be your match?

Welcome to Tranquility, Pennsylvania, just another ordinary small town in a post-evolutionary world. Tensions are running high as, one by one, the powered students are outed and the anti-powered sentiment strengthens. It’s been thirty years since the Powered People’s Protection Act was passed, yet the world is still filled with discrimination and hatred, and in a small town like Tranquility, things don’t change unless you force them to. One thing is certain: revolution is coming, and sooner or later, everyone is going to have to choose a side. |
