OUR WORLD IS CHANGING
More and more the world is hearing about them. Those that are different. The mutants. The metahumans. The freaks. While some are embraced as heroes like the Fantastic Four, others are still seen as a threat, like the Brotherhood, and yes even the X Men. The government has long had a hand in the control and experimentation of meta humans and mutants, now they too have come out into the open. S.H.I.E.L.D. has come to the forefront of both protection against those with special abilities and powers, and seemingly for those same people. After the incident at Alkali Lake and the Silver Surfer, there is no denying the presence of those different then us. Now with the surprise discovery of one of America's heroes survived frozen by Stark Enterprises, a new team is formed. The Avengers. Working in conjunction with S.H.I.E.L.D. they are the bright example that there is hope for coexistence.

Game: X-Project
Genre: X-Men Movieverse on LJ
Newly Available Characters: Cannonball, Psylocke, Dust, Anole, Network, Outlaw, Sunpyre, Dryad, Catseye (change these as required!)
The new school year has begun and X-Project is in need of students aged 14-17! There are a number of previously played socks and NPCs available and, while the current preference is for those formerly played/socked characters to be apped, the game would also welcome any new youngsters who who might arrive at Xavier's.
Plenty of gaming opportunities exist, from the New Mutants training team to groups such as the Red Cross initiative Red X, the NGO Elpis and the mutant-human coexistence group HeliX. Or there are just the wacky hijinks that ensue when you toss a group of super-powered teenagers into a mansion which just so happens to house a world class superhero team in its basement.
Brief Description of your game: X-Project is an X-Men movieverse RPG on Livejournal. Set after X2, we've been running since May 2003 and use a combination of in-character journals and email/IM logs. There's a number of settings for a range of play, whatever your preference, and while we accept new characters we strongly encourage people to adopt one of our orphans.

A test log with the mods will usually be required, and we'll ask prospective players to communicate with players in the cases of significant relationships with a played character (eg: If you want to app Jeanne-Marie Beaubier, you'll be asked to ping Jean-Paul's player, to ensure continuity). In 2023, the first Wizard University was opened in Ipswich, England. Offering an alternative to traditional internships, the school was a welcome relief to places such as St Mungos and Professional Quidditch Teams, where applicants far exceeded the vacancies. One year later the school is thriving with nine offered subjects, co-ed fraternities, street games, and Quidditch tournaments. Gossip and rumours, pranks, and day-to-day mishaps make college life anything but boring. Just mind the occasional streaker.
WMU is a next generation Harry Potter game set at university. With a focus on character development, good storylines, and both friendships and relationships between characters, we’ve gone back to basics that make role play fun. We encourage good writing, journaling, threading, and our players to simply relax and have fun.
