Nowhere is this more true then in the world of Marvel. For a little more then half a century there have been new characters, new story lines, old characters brought back. Different versions, time lines, and universes open up all kinds of role play possibilities. For some of us, we miss Marvel the way it used to be. Before our favorite characters had their histories retconned by new writers several times. Before characters were killed off, brought back, and killed off again. Before there were more characters and team members then you could possibly name. Back when it was about just a team, dealing with life, hero work, and finding their place in the world. We miss role play the way it used to be. Where you write with other writers, where the plot and play where the important part of the game and not in character AIM sessions. Where you wanted to write a character in situations with other characters, not just write out private journal entries, and interact only through comments on other people's journals. Where it's about the game, not all the accessories. With a plot that brings the fledgling teams of X Men and Excalibur together, we are looking for members that enjoy writing, and interacting with a group. We are all for non censored mature role play that starts small teams and adds characters as we go to make sure there is plenty of interaction for everyone and no one feels left out! So if you are looking for some old school Marvel role play where everyone is involved in posting and plots, where input is welcomed and the drama is reserved for in game, then come see who we are recruiting for the game. [07 Jul 2010|06:54pm] Name: Alison Game: Chronic Resurrection (via cr_mod) Fandom: Harry Potter Format: mostly journals, but threading or logging is good too Genre: dark AU time travel, set in 1979 and 2000 Wanted: DEATH EATERS, particularly Armand Jugson, Rabastan Lestrange, Philip and Damien Jugson (children of Armand and his wife Keagan), ___ Avery (Lanyon Avery's son). We have always had more Death Eaters and Bad Guys than Good Guys, but recently we've had new Order members come in and now we feel we want more villains to make up! It's so fun being evil ;-) Frank Longbottom ___ Avery (Lanyon Avery's wife) It's a dark game - we tend to focus more on DE and Slytherins than other games do, and in 2000 the DE have won. (Harry time-travelled back to the 70s and got so preoccupied with trying to save his parents that he failed to stop Voldemort in the 90s.) Characters who would be alive in both times are played in both times e.g. Katharina here has separate journals for her teenage self and her adult self. You should probably look up the premise if that's still confusing! It's very easy to get the hang of, and I'm happy to go through it as it relates to your character if you have any problems. It was the first of its kind, implemented just after the mutant education act. The university is open to humans and mutants of all races, creeds and religions, giving them an equal opportunity at higher education. Mutant U. is a co-ed, mutant/human university specializing in offering additional training for mutant powers alongside the curriculum for most common majors. The game allows canon and OC characters, humans and mutants, teachers, staff and students. The university is a microcosm that reflects some of the prejudices found in the outside world as well as those unique to college life. MU is a College Level AU X-Men game set in modern day Boston. It is meant to be a place where OCs may flourish, new stories can be written and those who have moved on to college may begin again. The school grounds, commonly referred to as Mutant U., house both a university as well as a training facility. The game is open to mutants and humans age 18+, canon and original characters are both welcome. The game hopes to combine the social aspects of life as a mutant and a university student with the dangers that come from living in a world where humans and mutants coexist, sometimes not-so-peacefully.
