The Ministry is likewise disorganized and scattered. While some see opportunity, others see only the tragedy, and no end in sight for the pain that comes with it. |

To Be or Not to Be is a Deathly Hallows compliant Harry Potter RPG that picks up right where the books left off (pre-epilogue).
We will be 75% player modded, which means that you will have a say in where the game goes, and in making important decisions about plot and characters. If you are a player who enjoys really digging into a game and making it your own, this is the place for you! Participation in player-modding is required so that everyone shares a bit of the work. |

The fire continues to grow
In 1979, war rages in the wizarding world. Masked Death Eaters terrorise innocents, and Muggles and wizards alike are found dead under the Dark Mark. The Ministry is near-helpless, torn between those who want to take a stand against violence and hate, and those who beg for harsher laws to appease the unknown enemy - not to mention those who believe that Voldemort and his Death Eaters have the right ideas in the first place. Nothing they do can please everyone, and more often than not, they opt to please no one. The world is divided, and every day brings new changes. At any moment, anyone might die, and many fear that the Muggles will catch on that there is magic right under their noses. Voldemort is so feared that none dare speak his name, and rumours of immortality and godlike power swirl around him.
Some people simply try to live their lives. Some speak out. And some fight. Yet there is no end in sight. All wizarding England is under siege by this nameless, faceless enemy.
Lily Potter and Alice Longbottom are not yet pregnant, and there is no prophecy. In a world like this, anything might happen - and anyone may be the next to make history.

What would you do to stay young and beautiful forever? Would you lie? Would you steal? Would you kill?
Sirens are brought up to do exactly that. A race of woman, capable of luring men with their magical songs, and shapeshifting into birds. Beautiful and enchanting, sirens are capable of unlocking immortality. But it comes at a price. Regularly afflicted with debilitating murderlusts, sirens have a choice. Give in, and kill, or lose their beauty, their youth, and their sanity. The more they kill, the longer they'll live.
For centuries, siren women have made their choice. Some try to kill only when necessarily, while some embrace what they are. Whether they found what they were to be a burden or a gift, it was theirs to bear in secrecy.

On May 1st, 2009, the supernatural world revealed itself to society. And the siren race was listed as one of the top threats to humanity. Sirens have been driven into hiding. Some try to pass as werebirds, some choose a life on the run. No one knows what happens to a siren if caught, but there are rumors of scientific experiments to 'cure' them.
Whatever you decide, one thing is certain. Don't get caught.
