Bloodlines - A Post-DH Harry Potter RPG [04 Nov 2009|09:34am] Only when we are no longer afraid do we begin to live. -Dorothy Thompson 2003 is fast approaching. All of our favourite characters are past school and living in various stages of their lives. Harry Potter and Ron Weasley are full-blown Aurors on a severely understaffed Squad. Ginny Weasley has quit her job in favour of working for George. Pansy Parkinson is looking for a positive move forward in her life, working in law at the Ministry with Angelina Johnson. Lavender Brown has had a capital-V Vision, only she doesn't realise it. Charlie Weasley has only recently learned that Susan Bones's 10-month-old baby is actually his 10-month-old baby. Sounds like life is coming along nicely, right? Well, there's just one catch: Half of these people are very ill, or they will be very ill if they aren't very careful. The Muggles call it a superflu, but it's much more than that. St. Mungo's hasn't yet been able to figure out where this disease even came from, much less how to stop it. And the worst part? People with this disease are dying. First Gawain Robards and four other Aurors. Then Neville Longbottom. Who will be next? [04 Nov 2009|04:13pm] You open your eyes to darkness. The air smells stale and confined. Lifting a hand, you feel glass, smooth and curved. Instinctively, your heart beats faster. A tentative push and it rises away from you, swinging to the side. Light filters in through windows above. You blink, your eyes adjusting to the shadowed room as you try to remember what happened. A thin layer of dust covers everything. There are no panes of glass in the windows. The virus. You remember now. They told you stasis was a precaution. Only a few weeks. A month, at best. Let them get the virus under control. Standing beside your pod, legs shaking from disuse, you feel a sense of apprehension creeping over you. Your heart beats even faster now. A table nearby has a pile of scrolls on it and, with a sense of foreboding, you cross to find the one with your initials on it. ~~~ The year is 2100. ~~~ Waking Pandora is an AU, post-apocalyptic Harry Potter RPG based partially on the History Channel series Life after People. [04 Nov 2009|08:30pm] The year is 1978. The war against the Death Eaters has been boiling under the surface for almost a decade now. It was little things at first, easy to ignore, escalating to bigger attacks, bigger crimes, and of course, retaliation. Now the country is about ready to tear itself apart as the Ministry steps up their attempts to defeat Voldemort and no one is really sure who they should trust, if they should trust anyone at all. Who can you turn to when your own government is as likely to kill you as the masked criminals roaming the streets? Even the muggles are starting to notice. Attacks in muggle places are becoming more frequent, the Death Eaters getting more bold. And everyone is asking the same question. How long before it's open war? The First War is a Post-Warts, MWPP era RPG. We are canon through November 1st, 1978 and then we diverge, allowing the characters to tell their own stories.
