CLUE: A Mystery RPG [16 Jul 2009|12:46am]
CLUE: The Game is an online RPG in the spirit of the boardgame, Clue, and who-dunnit style dinner parties. Every round is different, with a new murdered host in a new scenario. A college senior mysteriously dies during Spring Break in St. Bart's, a Nintendo CEO is killed hosting a weekend retreat at his Napa Valley home, residents of a colonial town in 1776 are made to stay within a mile of their homes after a British general has been murdered; the options are endless, the result is never the same.

Players can choose their perspective: they may know only what their character knows and keep the suspense going, or may read along with the whole game to watch everything unfold. The mystery will remain a mystery exactly as long as you want it to, with clues, conversations, and confrontations building up until your Inspector has solved the crime. CLUE is a fast-paced game with lots of interaction, intrigue, and character development; thusly we do not recommend it for players who are looking for a beginner game.

For 400 Years Wizards Have Ruled Great Britian

A time of great jubilee is coming as Wizarding England prepares for the greatest celebration since King Lucius's corrination. Not only is it the quadcentenial of wizarding rule, but Prince Draco's wedding to Lady Parkinson will fall during the festivities. The tabloids are having a field day, reporting every little detail they can, not only about the couple, but it seems no noble or quidditch star is safe now, and if they can't find dirt, they simply make it up.

Of course, there are still secrets to be uncovered. The son of the Progressive leader has a secret wedding and pregnant wife. A member of the royal line has ruthless plans to put himself on top at any cost. A scandal has a popular quidditch player in the hospital after a suicide attempt. The sister of the future queen isn't who she seems to be, and the Prince and his fiancee are not the only royal couple who feel the overwhelming need to have a child.

The Gilded Court is an AU Harry Potter game set in the fictional royal courts of the Malfoy dynasty, who rule both muggle and wizarding Britain. Will you chose to be a noble, dodging the paparatzi and jockeying for position, a ministry cog, working hard to try to get ahead, or muggleborn activist, fighting to find out what muggleborn magic is on the decline?

Most Wanted: Weasleys, Older Nobles, Edgar and Susan Bones, Daphne Greengrass, Remus Lupin, Palace Employees, Muggleborn Activists

New Recruiting HP RPG [16 Jul 2009|02:36pm]
En Passant- An HP Post-DH AU RPG

The year is 2000.

The world survived the much-anticipated Y2K and it should be business as usual as the Wizarding World still slowly recovers from the aftermath of the Second War. However, with so much focus being placed on justice against captured war criminals and so much energy focused on reconstruction, something has terribly wrong.

It is now that He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named is truly gone that the Wizarding World encounters a new problem. A problem more mysterious to them than the Dark Lord ever was. A problem that has remained uncharted territory for the majority of magical folk:

Muggles.

With the defeat of the Dark Lord and not even a whisper of a new uprising, the Ministry neglected to keep a tight and secure lock on all of the Wizarding World’s defenses. Thus the charms and precautions keeping muggles away from the Wizarding World were weak enough that a small group of muggles breeched the barriers.

Immediately after this news broke in both communities the majority of the muggle community becomes a-frenzy with the new discovery. Some wish to exploit it for profit, some fear it because they do not understand it—and, perhaps the most dangerous, some view the Wizarding community as abnormal and subhuman and seem to be taking their apprehensions to the extreme. They claim to hope to find a cure (or if need be—a means of extermination) to rid the world of what they view as some sort of mutation.

It is the belief of the Ministry of Magic that keeping the barriers open between the magical and muggle worlds would pose as a danger to innocent civilians on both sides. And thus—on December 31st, 2000—the barriers will be sealed forever. Now, those who were previously living a double life in both worlds (muggleborns, halfbloods, etc) must make a permanent move into the Wizarding community or have their wands taken and live on as a muggle.

In the meantime—to keep tabs on the population for safety—Minister Shacklebolt has distributed enchanted journals to keep everyone in contact with each other on a secure network without raising muggle suspicion.

But could it be too late? Will too much damage already be done by December 31st ?

Your part of this journey begins when you open up your journal and begin writing it. Remember—dark and difficult times lie ahead (what else is new?). Think you knew Harry Potter? Don’t bet your last galleon on it.

This game takes place post-Deathly Hallows but completely ignores the epilogue. Thus no pairings are set in stone. However we ask that you read the rules before considering application and keep in mind that all things preceding the conclusion of DH are considered canon and should be considered accordingly in the development of your characters.

Also. We are currently NOT accepting original characters and no one is being brought back to life.

ONLY THREE CHARACTERS TAKEN! EVERYONE ELSE OPEN! Open characters include Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley, George Weasley, Draco Malfoy, and Pansy Parkinson.
