Since we are trying to create a new society, we need a list of bank holidays and I wanted your suggestions.

Already down: Christmas, Boxing Day New Year's, Good Friday, Easter and Easter Monday, Remembrance Day.

Any other suggestions? We're aiming for one a month.

Padma

You have carte blanche in studying the castle magic and the time travel. I've spoken to Regulus to put a rule that any study done through the DoM is legal.

Call it a hunch, but I don't think that the castle did this. I think we might have done this and the magic morphed or we did something to the castle. I don't know.

Ron/Hermione/Draco

I was talking to Jamie while putting clues together and it became obvious that the clues are made for us (or me). My gut says that someone was fucking with fertility and we knew something was coming, so we created some kind of spell that brought us back. Just a hunch but my hunches tend to be right.

What do you think? Am I being too arrogant here?

No he didn't.

Savannah

You beat me to responding. I was going to ask we not make him do that. Let him have his birthday back as a day for him, not us.

But it's part of our history, Jamie, a lot more than World Chocolate Day or National Tea Day. If we are doing this to create a society, shouldn't we keep the part of us that were a society? I mean I'd say October 31, but I'm not sure I'd want to celebrate another day where people died.

His birthday is a sign of hope and it's been that for decades, and if there's one thing we need is hope.

It may be a part of our history, but is it really one we need to keep? What future generations are going to understand what his birth meant to the generations before ours? How many in our generation even see it as a sign of hope and not just a day for parties?

Dad hates his own birthday, Savannah. It's just another day of obligations for him, another piece of his life sacrificed for everyone else's happiness. I've watched him attend those parties and speeches, then go home and shut himself up in his office with his trusty Ogden's for years. The family hasn't celebrated his birthday since you and I were in fifth year because he can't stand the thought of it.

Even now, when he's only twenty-three, he sees his birthday as something for everyone else, not something he celebrates for himself.

I'm not liking this discussion. At all.

On the personal side, I can understand why you don't want it. I know a little too well what it means to your family.

On a more objective side, every holiday becomes about parties, but the foundation stays and now we have a whole new group of people who don't even know about what he did. This is inspiring and great.

Is there a way we can still celebrate and not make it bad for him? There has to be.
