"I don't feel superior," he replied with frank honesty. "I never feel superior unless we're talking 'bout smashing shit or beating somebody up. We all know what my skills are, and what they ain't."
Thor shook his head. He really didn't want to discuss how stupid he was, since that seemed to come up right about now in these sorts of conversations. He'd rather focus on the issue at hand. "No, I don't got any idea what will come from this. But you know what? Neither do you. What I do know is that they make each other happy. What's wrong with people being happy? I want my friend to be happy. Don't you want the same?"
He knew she did. Deep down, she did. And once she was done being all uppity and angry, she was going to regret how this morning went with Sigyn. Because Frigg, for all her ambition and airs, had a big, caring heart. It's why she meddled the way she did. She thought she was helping, and it was hard to get mad at her for wanting to do that. But sometimes, she went a little overboard. This was one of those times.
"And my authority is that I'm your brother," he told her gently, his love for her absolutely plain. There were times she drove him a bit nuts, and he didn't always approve of the things she did, but she was his sister. So sometimes, he just had to help her. In spite of herself. "So I'm telling you, we're going to sit down and talk 'bout this 'til it gets sorted out so you don't lose your friend. 'Cause I hate it when you cry, and I know that'd make you do that."
