Hel knew what Styx was saying, but there was no way she would ever do that. She loved her father, and the Aesir had put him through even more than her. He'd lost everything, including his own freedom. They had things to plan, a boat to build- he'd be back soon, and then he'd be gone forever. That's what that crazy old dead lady told Odin, anyway.
Hel would not let his life end with her words of anger ringing in his ears. He'd done more good than bad for her, tried his best when she was little. She knew that. She would never dishonor him by speaking to him that way.
"I think I'll save my bitterness for the Aesir. They've earned my hatred and I think I'll let that continue to grow. I hear what you are saying, and I appreciate it, but some things are unforgiveable. The day will come when they will pay, and I will be there to help," she said firmly.
