He shouldn’t be here. He knew he shouldn’t be here. If his parents found out, they would be really angry with him. But he had to come. He had to talk to her, let her know his thoughts on what had happened. He hadn’t had the chance to say anything before and now there wasn’t much he could do but tell her he was sorry for her loss.
How it had started for him was all still a bit of a blur for Hermod. They had been at a party, which had ended with everyone getting drunk and throwing things at Balder. That was nothing new. They always were trying to hurt his unhurtable big brother. Hermod was always there watching, usually sitting with this other brother, Hod, describing the weapons that were being hurled at their perfect brother. It was always fun for everyone. A big joke that ended every party.
