Actually, no, I've had enough of needing people to reassure me every five goddamn seconds so

I would like to offer my apologies for what happened, once again. I had no idea that would happen, and I should perhaps have thought things through a bit more thoroughly before taking action.

Unfortunately, it clearly seems I should not try to break this barrier keeping us here. My best efforts only caused a great deal of pain for everyone. It is possible that with further attempts I would be able to eventually break free, but in the process there may be more damage done, and I cannot justify putting everyone at risk.

I will not be making any more attempts to facilitate our escape.

I've moved those who passed away last night into one of the offices on the ground floor. I'll be speaking to their families about what to do next. So everyone knows, I have Andy Gallagher, Ben Braeden, Ariel, and Alex Halliwell-Thorn. If anyone else needs to be added to the list, please let us know.

So, Tessa, James, and Casey head out from the lobby, find Mirror!Loki, and James and Casey set about being distracting and fight-y while Tessa tries to link with Loki. When she does it is, to use Erin's words, like this: "I doubt she'll get a whole lot from Loki right now. Like she'd probably notice a difference, but it wouldn't be like WHOOOOOSH POWER. It'd be like OH, HEY, I HAD COFFEE THIS MORNING"

Realizing that coffee is not enough to fight evil, she tosses that plan out the window, texts Patrick, and sends James to hide somewhere out of harm's way while she links with him instead. This is super effective! After a brief struggle, Fake-Loki is bound, banished, and good riddance to him.

Unfortunately, the spell Tessa was using is not exactly designed for archangel power and neither is...she. There's a very long moment where it looks like she won't be able to break the link at all. Then she starts bleeding from her eyes, ears, and nose, seizes, and passes out, breaking the link. She's not out long, maybe five minutes, but when she wakes up she's blind, deaf and...rather magic-less. Basically she blew a fuse and needs to very slowly reset. Until she does she's a stronger than average but otherwise regular human who also happens to take after Helen Keller.

After the fight (around 5am I think) Casey has whatever injuries she sustained being distracting/protecting the magic users, James has whatever injuries he got before he retreated and his power is back, and Tessa (once she wakes up) is flipping a shit about the blind/deaf/power-free thing. If any of the others get near her she won't recognize them and will flip out. Basically the only people she's going to calm down for or go home with willingly are her parents or Patrick who would have to somehow convey to her who they were.

So yes! No more evil!Loki! Hooray! Reactions/injuries/etc. here please!

This is ending right the fuck now. James, Casey, anyone else who can take a hit from a god and keep on moving, I need you outside the hotel in five minutes. There's a plan. Everyone else stay inside.
