Where: Exploring LA
What: One faerie's voyage into the unknown.
Rating: TBD (possible language)
Status: Open/On-going

This was incredible! One minute she'd been talking with Alcide and Bill at the church social and the next she was in the middle of Los Angeles. It was a lot to take in, and as Sookie stepped out of her apartment the breath caught in her throat. There were so many people around these parts! Their thoughts mingled together in a great roar of sound that made it hard to think. Back home she'd learned to control her affliction some, but as she began to walk, Sookie wasn't so sure she was going to be able to block out the noise. For the time being she'd have to put up with it all the same, as she needed as much information as possible about this place.

She'd known people who'd been able to travel between worlds before. Most of the fairies she'd met could shift between her world and Faerie anytime they wanted and now she wished she'd had just a little more time with Warlow, just to perfect the art herself. That way perhaps she'd be able to get herself (and the others) out of this mess. It wasn't going to be as easy as all of that! Not this time. And in this world she didn't have any of her friends, which was another bitter pill for Sookie to swallow. She liked to think she was independent, but she'd spent her whole life in Bon Temps, with the same small circle of people. This was a whole different kettle of fish, and she wasn't entirely sure she knew how to handle it.

For the time being Sookie decided that exploration, and her growing wonder at the huge city, were enough to occupy her thoughts. It was curious seeing how big city folk went about their business, mostly with their heads down never talking to a soul. Weird that so many of then seemed so alone when they were surrounded by such enormous crowds! Perhaps her own small town wasn't so bad after all, and that brought a smile to her face. One that she shared with passing strangers, though they looked at her as though she were most-of-the-way-to crazy. As she was walking she noticed another person watching the people almost as closely as she did. How she knew that they didn't belong here she didn't know, but it was as clear as the nose on her face, and without another thought she crossed the street and put her hand out to them. "Hi there," Sookie flattered them with her best smile, "I'm Sookie Stackhouse. If I'm not very much mistaken, you're not from around these parts either. Would you mind my asking if you were kinda kidnapped too?" She figured that the message would be clear to any that had woken up as she had, and if not it gave away nothing. She was curious to see how they'd react.

"I don't have a clue why it's happening, no one seems to." Lydia said. Though that Lindsey guy seemed to know something, maybe. He definitely didn't seem like he was in the mood to share, if he did know something. "I've only been here since the 21st, myself." She explained. It was curious, they'd all woken up here without a clue of how it happened. At first, Lydia might have thought she was losing her mind, but it was all of them here now...and they couldn't all be crazy, right? And they weren't all dead, so it was frustrating to not know what this really was.

"On my first night here, my friend and I tried to leave. We were going to take a bus back to Beacon Hills, that's where we're from. Anyway...we were attacked. By a vampire. I would have been dead if that slayer girl Buffy hadn't shown up." Lydia told Sookie. And that was part of why she was so reluctant to really go anywhere far from the apartments now. Lydia had experienced this place's dangers first hand. And she wasn't in any hurry for a repeat.

Lydia froze and stared wide eyed at Sookie for what felt like several minutes. How could she know? What did she know? She could very well know more than Lydia did, and that was kind of frightening. Lydia took in a few deep breaths, and finally snapped out of it. "Um, I mean...I'm not entirely sure. One of my teachers said I was a banshee before she tried to kill me, but...I don't really know how that applies to me for real." Aside from the scream and her penchant for finding bodies. Sookie couldn't be altogether human either, if she detected that Lydia wasn't. Still, she hoped telling her wasn't a mistake.
