Since his unexpected arrival, The Doctor had been monitoring the network for news and information. So far it seemed the rest of the people here knew as little as he did. They had been (somehow) transported to a hell dimension that looked an awful lot like the Los Angeles of Earth. Having visited the city a time or two in the past, The Doctor suspected that it hadn't needed much to turn it into hell. All in all it was rather troubling. And that didn't even begin to describe waking up in bed with a strange man! Why that should be part of the experience, he had no idea, but he would happily have skipped that part, and got right to the business of finding a way home.
He hadn't strayed far from the flat he'd woken up in, but he had made a cursory examination of the area, just in case there were any pan-dimensional doors tucked away that had yet to be found. Or a teleportation device - that would come in rather handy too! Instead all he found were dead ends and dismal streets, so it was with a heavy heart that he returned to the flat.
As soon as The Doctor re-entered the small collection of rooms he knew he wasn't alone. If he was lucky it would just be the strange, and rather cold, individual he'd woken up with. If his luck continued the way it was almost anything might be waiting for him in the living room! The Doctor took a deep breath and pushed open the door, making sure he left the front door open, just in case he had to make a speedy exit out.
"Well that's a relief!" The Doctor gave a sigh of relief as he saw the figure of his former bed-fellow. "Perhaps 'relief' is the wrong word, given the circumstances. I never was too good with post-bedroom conversation... okay, that's a lie, I've always been fairly good at that, I'm just usually fairly familiar with the person I'm talking to. On this occasion I don't even know your name!" He put out his hand to the strange man, "hello. I'm The Doctor and you are?" he paused, waiting for a response.
