Thank you so much! I'm completely thrilled to hear that a plot came through - there's always that struggle to try and convey a story without spelling everything out, y'know?
You're welcome! And yeah, I totally understand that difficulty. Not that I've ever done fan art, but in my own stuff.

I did have concerns about the font :). When picking a font, I usually end up cycling through between twenty or thirty different types, narrowing it down as I get an idea of what sort of feel I want. I kept coming back to this one. In this case, it was a conscious choice to go for the slightly unbalanced and chaotic look of this font over legibility, the unprettiness of it - it was more a visual thing than a content thing, if that makes sense?

For you, was the font intrusive in style, or was it more of a legibility issue?

It was stylistic for me. When you have art that's so strong, I would make the text a bit more neutral to balance it out. Also, because of the way the some letters are enlarged in the font, it conjured up unfortunate associations with people wHo TyPe lIkE tHiS online. Something a little ornate is probably good (I mean, certainly you don't want it in Arial or Verdana), but if you are going to go with a trendy-type font, I'd pick one without the differing letter sizes - I've seen ones that have a similar feel, but less random caps-ness.
I understand why you chose that, though, and it's not a big deal overall.

Thanks for replying to my comment!
