Well done! I liked these bits best:

Merlin, dealing with the Ministry's bureaucracy was worse than fighting giants. At least those didn't come in triplicate.

Man, is Dumbledore ever frustrating. *chuckles*

"I want to be a just like you when I grow up," Lily announced, staring at Malfoy in awe.

"That might take some work," Malfoy said, voice carefully neutral. "You may wish to reconsider."
