Nice way to bring in the prompt and at the same time give us a glimpse of Harry's home life with the kids. And two thumbs up for Dumbledore! It was great to see him here ... especially admitting that Harry didn't *have* to kill Voldemort like he had. Knowing that, however, I would have liked to see Harry making more of a decision, instead of just reacting to Ginny's betrayal. Still, he made his choice in the end!

I had a fit when Dumbledore showed back up *giggle* And gosh, how many of us really hate Ginny deep down? She could crawl into a hole and die and most of probably wouldn't care. I'm glad the kids are with Harry ^^

Well done! I liked these bits best:

Merlin, dealing with the Ministry's bureaucracy was worse than fighting giants. At least those didn't come in triplicate.

lol!

"But you'd probably better not tell Trelawney I picked the card for you, or you'll get bad marks for skipping the special Harry Potter gets eaten by trolls reading."

*snerk*

"What's funny this time?" Harry snapped. "I wasn't planning any near-death experiences this week."

Man, is Dumbledore ever frustrating. *chuckles*

"I want to be a just like you when I grow up," Lily announced, staring at Malfoy in awe.

"That might take some work," Malfoy said, voice carefully neutral. "You may wish to reconsider."

Who says Draco has no sense of humour? ;)

Very nice; I enjoyed this a lot :). Particularly Harry having another conversation with Dumbledore after nearly dying. The sexual tension in the bar was excellent, too :).
