Summary: Five years after the final battle at Hogwarts, Draco Malfoy has been paroled from Azkaban and works nights as a janitor at The Daily Prophet. Harry Potter, recently married to Ginny Weasley, is training as a Healer at St. Mungo's. One wastebasket=one head injury=our story.
Author's Note A number of people helped me with this story. After the reveal, I will give them their due. I am one of those people who really relies on their betas. As I've said before, they make it much better. I would like to dedicate this story to sistermagpie, who shares my love for Draco Malfoy in all his glorious perfect imperfections.

Oh, I think you just broke me! This was such a compelling, true story - Draco's voice was absolutely perfect in every respect - both canon and fanon wound together to make one amazing whole.

This story is sharp, tight, painful, and somehow still a genuine romance - but oh how bitter sweet the ending. Harry and Draco redeem each other - in every way possible, although I think that somehow Draco comes out of it all in a better place. This has overtones of the endless small unhappiness that I would foresee for poor Harry with Ginny as wife and mother.

The writing was clever and incredibly precise, the pacing impeccable, and the tone faultless. Every raw wound, every progressive scabbing over of the past and its terrors, each tiny touch that reintroduces them to themselves and to opening up to life - just excellent.
