Two or three times a week I like to wander Miller's Wood. The solitude is different out there than it is among my books and art supplies. It's also a better distraction-free alternative (a piece of charcoal and paper is always too much of a temptation!) for when you need some time to process and think.
As I was doing just that, with no aim or direction whatsoever, I came across ( this lovely. )
It's remarkable how utterly stealthy they are. I'm not sure who was more startled! Not wanting to intrude further, I took my opportunity and went on my way. The encounter has certainly lent itself to some inspiration. Don't be surprised if you find something new at the gallery...
