I like it. What I would recommend... Thick lines are probably good, but the smears from erasing, and the arm rubbing against the drawing while being drawn? If you get some tracing paper, You can quickly trace your drawing (so that the lines are neat and there's no smears) press the paper down against a new piece of paper, and use a pencil to rub on the back of the trace sheet. If you do that fairly hard, it'll put the lead on the trace paper onto the new sheet, making the image in a cleaner-cut form.

If I remember correctly, this makes the picture backwards, but that is easily fixed if you don't want him facing the opposite way. If you do the trace, flip the picture over and draw the lines you've just traced on the other side of the paper, and put that down to be rubbed on, it fixes it.

It gives you a chance to eliminate the rub marks and really clean up the lines, if you're interested. If you put up another of this picture, I dunno about signing it though. It'll become an InsaneJournal trademark so the name wouldn't be on the drawing.

Thats pretty close to what i want. make him look a bit more.. i dunno. Insane. mess up his hair, and have the notebook opened, so you see the cover both front and back and have www.insanejournal.com written on the cover of it. As for your signature, it would be removed, because by submitting anything for this contest, you give up the rights to it.

Great job.

For others out there, this is very very very close to what im asking for. Just want him more insane looking.

well, the lines are pretty dark... and I don't think I can change that much.

I'd either have a new picture, or this one could get the risk of being ruined...

Also, I know about the rights, but I signature ALL my drawings.

The lines are dark, and that and the thickness is good, I was just trying to recommend something that would get rid of smears and make the said lines look cleaner cut. It was a trick we learned in art class. And it wouldn't damage the original at all, it'd be a cleaner-cut duplicate. The artist's version of a final draft, (if it's not going to be painted or otherwise colored). I was saying it's a great picture, and that's a good way if you want to make it look really clean-cut.

Eh, when I make drawings I don't sign them if I plan on giving them to someone else to use, but that's me. I personally feel bad when I have to cut a person's name off of a picture, so I don't make them go through it themselves. Then again, it's not usually something professional but a personal exchange of pictures, so completely different scenario.
