On April 9th, 2019, very early in the morning, WES ATWOOD stumbled his way to SERENITY BAY where he curled up in the sand and fell asleep, unknowingly blanketed by BROOKE KINGMAN-CLERMONT.

VOLUNTEER ONE notices his shirt and shoes further up along the beach and decides to take those things back to him. They leave him undisturbed because he doesn't seem like he's in any particular danger.

VOLUNTEER TWO is just there to see the otters. A half-naked man to take a selfie with is just a humorous bonus. VOLUNTEER THREE is frustrated that some drunk person is sleeping on the beach and LOUDLY comments that they will be alerting security. VOLUNTEER FOUR is tasked with heading back to the hotel to let someone know.

SYDNEY CUBB is familiar with Wes and wakes him up before security gets there so that he can avoid trouble.

Anyone can take a volunteer spot, but you're not limited to them in how you react.

At around 11:30 p.m., IAN FLETCHER and TEMPERANCE LLANCASTER could be heard drunkenly singing songs loudly and very off-key as they walked from the Castaway bar to the seventh floor. Their arms are around each other and Temperance and Ian both have big grins on their faces. The two seem completely unaware of anything else in their surroundings as they sing to and with each other.

Except when they are on the stairs (because Ian is not taking another elevator) and stop for a few minutes to experiment with the echo.

And whenever they bump into the various objects (or people) on the way to their end destination.

Occasionally, the two of them stop to have a short conversation that ultimately ends with one or both of them laughing and leaning into each other. And then laughing more because they just remembered what was funny again. And then laughing even more because it didn't stop being funny.

In addition to the singing, at one point, Ian and Temperance could be seen dancing with each other on the second landing.

When they reached the fourth floor, a member of the hotel staff confronted them. Before the staff member could tell them to be quiet, Ian and Temperance made a break for fifth. They didn't make it.

From the fifth to seventh floors, they could be heard giggle-whispering until they reached seventh and started singing again.

On the seventh floor, Temperance and Ian lingered outside the door to Ian's hotel room for a bit, before disappearing into Ian's room for the rest of the night.

Any ghosts are welcome to have been walked-through by the pair. The tipsy zigzag pattern of their movement covered a lot of ground.

Any other character reactions welcome.

Even though Sydney Cubb had returned the key Milo Spatters surreptitiously slipped her way, she had no intention of leaving the east hall alone after only one short visit. At 11:30pm, she quietly stepped into the hall from her room, carrying with her a rather full-looking bag and all the unshakeable resolve she could muster. The hallway was bright as ever, and she expected nothing less, but Sydney was pleased to find it empty as she drew closer to the barricade she'd crossed earlier that day. She noticed almost immediately that the chair she'd used to climb over the barrier had been pushed back to its original seating area, but that wasn't much of a concern. The plush carpeting would mask the sound of moving furniture.

She left her bag by the locked door. Sydney could've picked the lock— the lockpicking set Nick had gotten her ages ago was of course in her bag — but she didn't want to risk scratching the keyhole. Not if it would draw unwanted attention. Jumping the wall was the smarter move again, and so Sydney went to push back one of the armchairs, trying to keep the process as quiet as possible.

Just as she was lining the chair firmly up against the door, Sydney heard a noise behind her and glanced over her shoulder, noticing Zoe Kingman standing in the hall. Surprised, but undeterred, Sydney said "Hold on," before climbing over the plywood wall much as she had earlier, easing herself down for a softer landing. She unlocked the door from the ruined side of the hall, stepping out to push the chair aside and grab her bag. "If you're coming, best be quick and quiet. We're not supposed to be here," she said.

The door was open just long enough for Zoe and Sydney to step into the dark, dusty hall, unaware that Max Kingman and Blaze Cubb had followed them as well.

At around 10:35am, Victoria Clermont was given the information to Maven Mahoney's office. Though his assistance the night before had been prompt and he had tried his best to sound reassuring at breakfast, Victoria was still concerned about the harassment of her daughter and the plans to stop such activities going forward.

When she'd heard about what had happened to Veronica, her first thought had been to take her family and leave with the earliest ferry. The possibility of closure was only so effective if something opened and reopened new and old wounds and the safety of her children was worth more than anything else in the world.

Instead, after seeing how her family and friends were doing, she thought she'd give the security team a chance to prove themselves.

Knocking on Mr. Mahoney's door, Victoria hoped that he wouldn't disappoint.

At approximately 12:00pm, Alisha Desai walked into the Grand Paradise Hotel on the heels of a group of tourists. Izzy and Tessa had never come back to the spot on the beach where they’d all gathered and somewhere along the way, Alisha had temporarily lost Hope. Frustrated with their situation, Alisha had decided that instead of trying to find Cassidy Blackwood, she’d try to find her supervisor and air her complaints not only to them, but to every subsequent level of management until she had a personal meeting with the owner and proprietor of the hotel, because their current situation was unforgiveable.

Unable to receive any help from the front desk, the lack of acknowledgement adding to Alisha’s ire, she was just about to go off on an independent search for the Activity Coordinator’s office when she thought she heard someone say ‘Blackwood’. Changing direction, Alisha followed the voice and stepped onto the elevator with Volunteer 1 (a living guest), with Volunteer 2 (BW30) slipping in before the doors closed.

This is where Alisha spent most of her afternoon.

While on the elevator with Volunteer 1 & 2, the elevator malfunctioned. Instead of going to the chosen floor, it took them all the way to the top floor and then back down to the lobby. The doors remained closed until maintenance was called. V1 made their escape, but Alisha and V2 were stuck until the elevator was given the all clear.

V2 left, but Alisha remained in the elevator when she saw Aaron and Aidan Zakaria enter. The elevator ride was uneventful, but Alisha overheard Aaron & Aidan mention something about the Blackwood 30 tribute. She followed them when they left, but she went back to the elevator out of frustration when they ignored her.

When the doors didn’t open for her, she waited until another guest pressed the button. Lost in her thoughts, she didn’t notice the flickering lights or that another maintenance order was placed. It wasn’t until Justice Llancaster stepped onto the elevator around 4:00pm that Alisha awoke from her reverie. She was neither impressed nor surprised when the elevator stopped midway through the trip; she and Justice were stuck for 10 minutes before the elevator continued its journey and delivered them to the correct floor, where they both stepped off.

Victoria Clermont opted out of the two scheduled tours for the day. After breakfast, she spent her morning pursuing some inquiries regarding the incident with her daughter the night before. When they were answered to her (momentary) satisfaction, she spent some time at the tennis courts and after arranging to have a fruit salad delivered to her room for lunch, she spent the next couple of hours catching up on whatever work she could, considering the island’s unreliable connectivity issues.

When the fire alarm went off at 3:00pm, Vic dutifully evacuated her hotel room. While waiting for the staff to assess the validity of the threat, she struck up a conversation with Volunteer 1, a fellow evacuee. When the guests were allowed to return to their rooms, Vic invited Volunteer 1 to the spa later that afternoon to relax after the temporary disruption.

At 430pm, they met at the spa. After their facials, they overheard Brooklyn Kingman-Clermont (who was on the Islander Tour) talking to Volunteer 3 (who was not on the Islander Tour) about the strange incident with the old woman that occurred. Curious, Vic and her friend invited themselves over to learn more about what happened.

At around 9:30pm, Izzy Clermont popped back into consciousness near the front desk. After having been ignored, she rang the bell several several times and got zero recognition from the man behind the desk. Frustrated, she wrote another complaint card, leaving her name and number before wandering through the hotel.

Upon making it into Castaway Bar, she started to take a seat by the counter when she caught sight of Veronica. Excited, she jumped off of her chair and moved closer, reaching for her sister to slide her arms around her chest.

And she glided straight through. Reaching again, this time she pressed a hand to Veronica's hand. "Ronnie! You're here!"

With neither recognition or the ability to physically touch Veronica, Izzy began to panic. Given that her attempts at getting her twin's attention have failed, she makes an attempt to knock the glass out of her sister's hand. This, too, fails. She goes person to person, reaching for glasses, spoons, menus--until she finally sends a stack of napkins flying through the air.

"Veronica!" she shouts now, standing behind the bar, directly in front of her sister. "Why are you ignoring me?"

After both Maven and Veronica's father left her suite at around 7:30 AM, shortly before eight Sam wandered out of his room and greeted the dogs who seemed to have the run of the place. He headed towards a common area to see if his sister was up yet and came across Veronica instead, who had yet to put herself together for the day. No make-up. She was in a robe. It looked like she was busying herself with putting food in a bowl for her dogs.

He paused and ruffled his hair. "Hey. You sleep okay?"

Ghost Flash Reactionary - April 7th on the Beach

[info]iamthelawson
[info]grandparadise
After starting to find his bearings on the beach this morning Teddy decided since Cassidy was not showing up to collect them that it was time to go exploring. Max follows along as they chat. Teddy offers to race and Max falls behind. Jude catches up to them and the two decide to walk after Teddy.

When he goes to stop and wait, Teddy Lawson comes across two small children, a boy and a girl, playing in the sand. They seem to be burying something. When Teddy approaches, the little girl speaks while she pats down the sand. "We said go and you stayed here." The little boy shakes his head while he works. The little girl stares at Teddy. "Now the bad ghost is gonna eat you up." When Teddy next blinks the two kids are gone.

If he investigates the mound they left, he'll uncover a human skull that turns to sand and disintegrates the moment he touches it. Max and Jude catch up just at the skull turns to sand as Teddy touches it.

Volunteers(multiple) call out to them and catches up with the group now poking through the sand. Volunteer 3 upon hearing what happened says Teddy clearly is dehydrated and they should head back up towards the inn.

At approximately 11:43 PM on APRIL 7TH, 2019, anyone who was roaming the halls of the hotel may have heard a scream sharp and loud enough to wake the dead coming from a staircase at the first floor.

Anyone who went to investigate the source of the scream would have found the spot to be empty, even if they arrived not moments later. However anyone on the WEST WING OF THE SEVENTH FLOOR is welcome to have seen VERONICA CLERMONT. She looks like she is crying, although they are silent, horrified sobs rather than anything loud. Her face is sheet white, and she straight up looks like she might vomit.

Anyone who may have heard her and peeked out their door may have seen her knock on a door. Those in the know would know it to be ADAM CLERMONT’S door. She gets through the first round of knock before she appears to think better of it. She starts to cry harder and louder before running down the hall, where she opens a door. Those who are watching and in the know would know it to be the room she is sharing with SAM AND KARA LAWSON. As she opens the door, other guests may hear DOGS BARKING. They sound like small dogs. The barking is immediately silenced once the door closes.

Ghost Flash Reactionary - April 7th on the Beach

[info]iamthelawson
[info]grandparadise
In the morning members of the Blackwood Thirty begin to wake up on the Beach. While they had all been staying at the hotel, for many of them waking up there is not unusual as they had decided to spend the night out among the stars on Wednesday, April 13th. Teddy was definitely one of them, sitting up and brushing sand off himself as he started to stretch out.

He could have sworn that they put out towels for the beach but maybe he was mistaken. After all it seemed like the beach was as clear and pristine as ever except for the other assorted people from their mutual trips. They are all scattered out on the beach in their various groups.

But it is a brand new day. And they had more adventuring to do still. Cassidy was probably somewhere. But if she wasn't rounding them up maybe there was time to look for some treasure.

OOC Note: This Flash Reactionary is for Ghosts. The Blackwood Thirty will begin to awaken on the beach and then from there the Spirit World is your oyster. Feel free to add headers below.
