So my mom taught me how to cook at least well enough that I wouldn't burn every damn thing I put in an oven or on a stove. When you are cooking it doesn't matter so much that you are a half teaspoon off of salt or some other spice. If you don't put enough flour in a cake, if you are off a tiny bit, it still is edible.

So why the fuck is it so difficult in potions? What does it matter if I'm a centimeter off on my cutting or I stir once instead of twice? Come on cauldron, get this shit together and stop trying to make me look like an idiot. This is a class I can pass but this shit is way too picky.

You know what else are potions though? Molotov cocktails. Bombs. Biological warfare. Knowing how to mix shit together without fucking it up is the best way to survive a zombie apocalypse. At least that's what I'd say to Robin if I were giving him the pep talk. I don't know you well enough to know if you believe the Chinese are gonna create zombies or what the fuck ever, but I'm taking a stab in the dark here.

She's also lazy with it, which is less understandable. I was frustrated as hell with potions when I got here, it was my worst subject. None of it made sense. My school was too poor for home ec classes so I didn't even know how to cook or follow a recipe and now I had to deal with all these foreign ingredients and a fucking cauldron.

I mean you helped a little with that. My point is, when you suck at something, you do it outside of class. That's how you get better. If I had her attitude when I got here, they would've sent me back to Boston.



It's extremely weird for me to chastise someone else's attitude. I'm not sure I like it. Makes me feel old.

But living with Robin kind of inspires weird - probably actual conspiracies to just pop into my head, completely against my will. Today, he blamed Global Warming on Randy Quaid. And human trafficking. So I'm sure the zombie thing will happen after China takes control of the world, which apparently will happen in the next three years. So it's really just best to be prepared for that.

Yeah. That fucking guy. Apparently that guy is at the very top of the CIA's secret list of people. I don't know what that list does - but he's at the top of it.

I don't think you understand the break down of my cabin. We have a preppy asshole that likes to sing at seven in the morning. We have a conspiracy freak asshole who can probably build a snare in the middle of nowhere big enough to catch a human, we have a control freak asshole who some asshole thought was a good idea to give actual power, we have a cajun asshole who likes to remind us he's cajun every five minutes as if he's not a fucking senior and we already fucking know. Then we have me, clearly the best. When I graduate, I'm going to write a book called the Five Assholes. And get rich and famous off of it.
