OH MY GOSH, Issak bought me another new car! He said that it's a bit bigger than the last ~~few~~ one so I shouldn't be so bad at trying to not wreck it. THIS IS SO GREAT. Riri, time for our annual five hours long drive into civilization!

Here's a dirty secret from the annals of the Prefect grapevine: the only reason we ever patrol together is because Maggie and Cecil want to make sure someone's there to rein you in when you inevitably break the rules.

You did what any of us would have done if we were still at school. And how about we compromise and I sleep... after I stay up a little longer to worry and wait for news?

I am sure one of my roommates is hiding pot under their mattresses, so I'll steal it and get so high. Once you hear they're at the hospital, close the journal. There will be nothing else you can do. That's a Christmas miracle if I've ever seen one. But it's settled because I made an executive decision: after you find out if you got into whatever the hell programs you needed the letters for, I'm getting you high. I just wish I could film it for posterity. Future generations would probably benefit from seeing the tape — it's going to be like that time they sent the dog into space except you're not dying on re-entry or whatever happened to it.

Don't stay up on my account; I'm sure you have a lot of Very Important Prefecting to do in the morning. What if one of the Freshmen tries to peek at their gifts before it's time to open them? If you oversleep nobody will be able to stop them! If you do stay up, we can gossip about cute professors and boys and who dresses like a 'ho.' You know, classic teenager shit.

Ask me if Ty has been talking about you. Ask my opinion on Mr. Elmasry's eyes, and if Hertz is a dreamboat or not.

Hey, think positive! It might not be sad! It might be depressing, or heartbreaking! So I guess it's my duty as a friend to help you break out of that viciously responsible cycle. Here goes:
(b) Are Elmasry's eyes truly as dreamy as they say? Personally, I think they're more 'contemplative' with an occasional sparkle of ''ingenious.'

(b) I agree, but the periodic glimpses of 'softness' and 'melancholy' push that into dreamy. Dreamy is a complex idea, complex like Mr. Elmasry's very large eyes.
(c) It is so hard to say. The fauxhawke is very bold, it makes him seem confident. I think I would need to see him without his hair styled to know for sure.

(b) Never would I have thought 'dreamy' to have so many layers. Does that mean Chettri has his own brand of 'dreamy,' except his borders on 'brooding' or 'contemplative?'
(c) The only way to do that is to burst unannounced into their cabin first thing in the morning. [...] I did it once and I wouldn't recommend it. It was awful. (Not his hair, but the entire surprising-that-cabin experience. His hair is volume 24/7, fauxhawk or no.)
